Glad I nabbed my Avengers #6 not even a week ago. I don't think they could've picked a better actor to play Zemo. Bruhl is brilliant and can give some amazing performances. I suppose Avengers #6 is a safe bet, but I wouldn't sleep on the other books... -Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos #8. I first noticed something strange (obligatory pun) when I saw a copy of ST #169 in Dale's sales thread at a much higher price than I was expecting. Figured the book must be tough to find in high grade. The book sold immediately so I guess I was the crazy one

Man, the movie speculation took a turn for the worse . People are really reaching the bottom of the barrel with these. Who the hell is going to be paying top dollar for 1st Brother friggin' Voodoo or Moondragon. 100/100 casual fans wouldn't know these characters at all.

Glad Hardy dropped out. He's a good actor who I think could pull off the role, but it seemed unnecessary to use him again. Gyllenhaal is someone I always wanted to see in either the DC/Marvel universe. This role works well for him but even then I feel like I wanted him to play an actual superhero. Not sure who though.. While not the best movie, he was in Prince of Persia as well.

There's a story behind this one, but I don't want to talk too much about it. TLDR is that I got this online for $100 and the seller decided to ship it literally in just a thin, cardboard photo mailer. By some miracle the book arrived in stated condition... It's a book I've wanted since I was a child and learned truly about who Spidey was. Once I started collecting, I kept putting it off for one reason or another. Then the ASM #2 train wreck was announced and it jumped out of my league. Once the movie came out, I couldn't decide whether I hated the movie more or the effect it had on the prices for this book I knew after a certain point the book would cool off, and here I am, sitting with what is possibly my favorite book in my collection. 2015 is off to a good year :thumbsup:

book is nearly impossible to find in HG;i'd given up long ago. there are a whopping 2 copies in the census higher than 9.0. and i don't think this is going to one of those cases where high prices are going to drive a lot of copies out of the woodwork. tth2 stated years ago that Aquaman #11-20 are much tougher to find in HG than #1-10 and the census #'s have borne this out. Interesting. I knew without a doubt it's tough to find in HG cuz of that cover. Did not know however about the census details. That just seems like a crazy price to me.

Let's not forget the first Pirates, Finding Neverland, and Fear&Loathing. I'll admit Depp's been dropping more bombs than a B-52 recently but there are definitely some gems he's put out. I'm hoping someday he will stop obsessing over how unique and eccentric he tries to be and just uses the talent he has.
