  1. :news:

I've managed to put together a NEARLY complete run with variants. Thanks with the help of several Boardies (namely Branget & bryan_robson and a few others) I've made this happen. I also got the tie-in series (guarding the globe, wolfman, tech jacket, Brit, science dog, etc). I'll update my WTB and share it here to try to find the last few issues (mainly need a #12 in the regular series).

    Tomorrow :cloud9: #113

:golfclap: worthy of a registry award indeed. I'm a bit late to the party but this is by far my favorite book. I've slowly started putting a run together myself. Mostly raw books for now but slabbing eventually.

That and of course an Ottley sketch, I gotta get me one of those!

  2. Any plans for him to come to Baltimore this year? I didn't see him on the list yet. :wishluck:

He is at the Salt Lake Comic Con that weekend. It's 10 minutes from home, so a little easier trip for him.

That makes sense for him!

He was in Baltimore last year with the sweet Avengers swipe.

I was lucky and got on his commission list last year. (thumbs u

I'm curious does he do first come first serve day of con or lotto system like some others?

  3. what do you think are the books modern wise that keep heating up.

    will the 2008 #1 stay at 300+/grow?

or will ppl start to turn to the new series in your opinions.

Thank you for contacting the CGC msg board voice mail service. Most of our agents are currently sleeping, while the rest are booze browsing and picking fights with each other. As soon as one of our helpful customer service professionals is either awake, or sober enough to assist with your inquiry they will be in contact in the most demeaning manner possible.

  4. There are several LCS shops here in DFW that have shelf copies in NM condition, I snagged reader and storage copies. If you guys can't find any minty's over the weekend PM me and I'll venture out for more.

    (thumbs u

  5. FYI to all, Mile High Comics (yep I know I got desperate) has available copies of AoS 14, Outcast and sparse Rat Queens. I picked up a couple Nailbiter copies as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if you get an email saying out of stock. But when you check the site again it will be available at a much higher prices. Yes, this is mile high's business practice. I've had many experiences similar with them and vowed never to buy from them again.

I was actually worried about that so I called them yesterday and...wait for it.... order was filled at cover cost!

Unsurprisingly when I tried to add more they advised that Outcast is now $15 per copy and AoS 14 is now a $10.

  6. FYI to all, Mile High Comics (yep I know I got desperate) has available copies of AoS 14, Outcast and sparse Rat Queens. I picked up a couple Nailbiter copies as well.

Are you really paying those prices, $15? for Outcast?

Negative... I locked in at cover. Nailbiter I paid a wee bit over though, around $5 per issue.

  7. Went to 5 different shops over this weekend. Lucked out and found 5 copies of Adventure of Superman #14 and and few Rat Queens #1s. Haven't seen a single copy of Outcast.

:gossip: If anyone lives in the Carbondale, IL area, Castle Perilous Games said they have 3 or 4 copies of Adventures of Superman #14 available. I was going to make the drive over there today, but I wont get a chance.

Funny how it works, out here in the DFW I hit 7 shops and called close to 20 for AoS 14, I came away with 1 copy over the weekend and 5 of Outcast.

  8. First I started hunting just so I had a copy to read, that was Friday after work. Fast forward to today... after several misfiress, near misses, calling almost every comic and gaming store in the DFW area and running around like a mad man I FINALLY got a copy at cover. Would've had two but the hole in the wall LCS owner said that he'd keep the second he promised me over the phone in case it blew up and he'd get some cash for it.
