  1. No pictures of the Hastings variant Might pick up a copy and hope it looks nice I was able to get 2 of each cover A & B No variants yet tho
  2. I have read multiple sources saying this. I don't think it's a bad bet if you can get them cheap. I bought the 1st one Only one shop in town ordered any Wasn't sure about the 2nd so I left that at the shop today
  3. Only two shops in town ordered the book No Phantom variants tho The artwork is some of the best I've seen Really diggin this book
  4. Wise words from a respected board member No matter what happens from now on i'm making sure I make things 100% clear and when I want to sell a book somewhere else or not at all i'll make sure it's taken down I've got some good advice from a lot of board members. I don't want to always come off as a . I really don't want to be on the list, but I guess whats done is done. Live and learn. From now on i'm making sure I make things 100% clear and make sure my threads are CLOSED so I don't have to go through this again.
  5. I have started a new job and haven't had as much time to be on here, topped with a power outage last night. I do stand behind my nomination. My frustration was that it didn't mean anything to him since he just took the book to Ebay and could have cared less. I really don't think the price was that far out of line and stick by what I did. He was bartering and he knows it. If I was "bartering" I wouldn't have said this How is saying my asking price is too low a bartering technique? You knew I wasn't selling at that price and still tried to claim it As i've said before this is only an issue because I didn't take the book down like I should have thats it
  6. It slipped my mind Just like the other day when I had posted a few books for sale I thought I took them all off ebay but left one by accident I ended up taking it down but putting it back up a few days later because people didn't seem like they wanted the book. I only had it up on ebay and here on purpose one time and that was months ago before I knew I couldn't have them on both. I even took all my books off ebay that time and my thread still got deleted 2 times and I received a strike even tho they were only listed on here. I know now only list on here or ebay. Joe is right I can be a sometimes I don't mean to come off as an . I should have taken it down and didn't and thats the only reason i'm on the list. Next time instead of saying "might" or "think" i'll just come out and say NO. I don't try to rip people off when i'm selling things. The feedback on here and ebay should show that. I thought I made it clear in PM( I posted every PM I ever received from him) that I wasn't selling to him but I guess I didn't and i'm on the list
  7. So let me get this straight, this dickwad buyer actually got ocean on the PL for his own stupid behavior? Really? Therein lies the crux. But did this actually get ocean put on the PL? If so, then the PL is officially a joke in my book. I assumed ocean got put there for his cross-listing practices. I hear you. Maybe it was for lying and telling Jawn that he was going to keep it, while simultaneously listing it on Ebay. A little research goes a long way. I should have known when Colombia Comics tried offering me $100 a few days before JWAN even PMED me that something was wrong with the price. It wasn't until I looked on his website and ebay and saw what he was getting for them that I knew it was priced too low. I told him no thanks before I even looked on CC website. Take my words however you want. To some people it's "bartering" to others it's not I wasn't trying to barter with him. If I was I wasn't have said this I was trying to be polite and not be a total . Guess i'll be the when I don't want to sell something for nothing. This whole discussion wouldn't even be happing if I had taken the book down or closed the thread. that's why I brought up the time limit on threads. People have wanted me on the list for a long time so it's a no brainer. It's funny people i've bought books from and sold book to with not a single issue are the ones that want me on the list the most
  8. Why would it say in the rules when sales threads expire? It's a very small part of the forum, and other than the seller guidelines, CGC is not sticking their nose in. But common sense dictates that if you see a thread a few weeks old and no activity since then, it's being a real jerkwad to stick a in there without PM'ing the seller first. It's like the BIN on ebay As other people have said On ebay some people have the listing up for months and never take it down till it sells Other then rule 11 I don't see where you HAVE to ever sell a book if someone says they will take it I'm just trying to unstained the rules better. Theres 14 actual rules but then theres things like posts expire after certain time that isn't an official rule
  9. Not at all I just see people saying how threads expire. I see nowhere in the rules where it says any thread expires. I would expect that to be one of the top rules. If a thread is open it's open simple as that. only reason i'm on the list I didn't take a thread down after saying no thanks to a guy who wanted my book twice Ask anyone else i've bought a book from or sold a book to. All + feedback. I don't need to rip people off, thats not my game. I don't up bid anything I try to upfront and honest about the things I sell.
  10. The "her" was a typo Guess you've never done one And doesn't say anything in the rules. The RULES are what people go by on the boards. Really shouldn't matter if it's a week old or years old. If someone can find the thread and it doesn't say it's closed then that person should be able to buy the book. Technically it's still an open thread
  11. Branget is the one thats wanted to put me on the PL for a while now I've sold to him before and had no issues, he had no problem buying my books I see A LOT of open threads and see nothing about a time limit where OPEN threads expire Can someone link me to that in the rules? I've gone through them and seen nothing about an open thread ever expiring. I'd really like to see that. I haven't seen anything that says a thread from A week ago or 2 years ago that doesn't have any indication of being closed is automatically closed because of the time it's been up. Just because its "bartering" to one person doesn't mean it's bartering to someone else I said the book was too low at my asking price which I was right it was. Only thing i'm "guilty" of is telling someone no thanks and not taking the thread down. Not taking the thread down is the only reason i'm even on the list. I've said my part, some people agree with me and others don't.
  12. Super fast payment great communication, hope to do business with you again
  13. No, the fact that you're on the Probation List speaks for itself  It really doesn't. I have enough people that agrees I shouldn't be on the list. It's clear I wasn't going to sell him the book in more than one pm I sent him. I have a few mates on the boards. Money isn't everything I just don't need a bunch of people on high horses as mates. A lot of you judged me right out of the gate. I never had a chance, the few that got to know me are the only ones I care about. I buy and sell books, that makes up a good amount of what I do. The people I sell to are satisfied and so are the people I buy from. You can't please everyone That is all good day
  14. I thought I took it off yesterday the only thing that should have been up the cap America 111 Which I just took off So that's on me I took the other books off to sell on here and sold 3 of them Guess I forgot to take the other one down Now I have none FS on eBay or anywhere else for that matter Like me or not I really don't care I have a few board members that will vouch for me One already did in my 1st FS thread My feedback speaks for itself
  15. I don't even have my books for sale anywhere else what the hell or you talking about? I took them off ebay before I even listed them on the boards, thats the only other place I was selling them Seems like most people on these boards are on some sort of high horse and think they're better than everyone. I don't do any shady deals. Like I said ask the people who have bought books off me before. My feedback speaks for it's self. It really shouldn't matter what I sell or who I sell too. I don't even deserve to be on the POB list and wasn't even selling these books anywhere else.
  16. Time for a break Think it's time I take a little break from the boards Catch you on the flip side To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.
  17. Great buyer Sad to see my three big X-Factor books go(5,6,24) Glad they went to someone who will appreciate them
  18. I agree Hope Rick dies soon He's been around long enough. Carl can carry the story now This "All Out War" needs to end with a bloodbath in chapter 12
  19. Hope chapter 12 delivers something amazing This big surprise for issue #125 was a huge let down sure it's cool, but no big game changing event
  20. LAME I was hoping it was better Hopefully something HUGE happens in the next three
  21. You had the Infinity Gauntlet set you took from the PIF thread for "over two months" before you listed them on Ebay? I mixed and sold the worst out of my set and his set. I had some that looked better than he had and he had one or two that looked better than what I had Again probably better than a 7.0 set which is why the guy that bought them didn't complain I sold those within a week of having them. I only wanted the best looking out of the two sets. The batman books are the only books I sold that I didn't have any extra copies of and I just sold those last week. Say what you want I really don't care. I don't have time for the drama. Board members i've done business with have no complaints. I'm just going to leave it at that
  22. What was his follow-up PIF offer? Nothing good I just offered to give someone a solid 9.6 or better X-Men 212 singed by Chris Claremont and CGCED for free. Tho he didn't want the book that would have been a sure $150+ he wanted his X-Men 141 done instead, so I put up all the fees to have it done. Something I know a lot of people wanted Wow...so the 212 got better since you listed it? And it's spiked in value too!! It was a nice idea...but sub and shipping is about $30 and the book is $5 raw in "9.0 or better". Even if I rounded this up to $40 you made more than that on your Flip of the Infinity Gauntlets with 2 nice sets of comics left over to flip. No need to puff up the offer. It is what it is. It's not junk, but it's not $150 either. lmao I always under grade my books. I've said it more than once i'd rather under grade than over grade. That book was way better than a 9.0 you can ask the board member that sold it to me. I only say grades because people complain if you don't, on the boards pictures don't speak for themselves. How/when do you decide to over-grade and/or grade appropriately? In a sales thread it's a 9.0 but in a PIF it's a 9.6 (or better)? Like I said go ask the person I bought the book from. Comicbooksgo.com It was way nicer than a 9.0. I'd rather someone be surprised that the book is nicer than what I said it was then be disappointed. I don't even like saying a grade i'd rather people look at the pictures and judge for themselves what they think it is. But people on the boards can't seem to do that. I'd had people message me saying how my PIF offerings were. It's free it shouldn't matter what the grade or what it is. You're not paying anything for it
  23. Its me this week Next week you'll be on to bashing someone else Just scroll back some posts and you'll see what i'm talking about
  24. What was his follow-up PIF offer? Nothing good I just offered to give someone a solid 9.6 or better X-Men 212 singed by Chris Claremont and CGCED for free. That book was way better than a 9.0 you can ask the board member that sold it to me. I only say grades because people complain if you don't, on the boards pictures don't speak for themselves. Those "Two nice sets" I sold the batman for a whole $8 and that took a few weeks to get and like i've said before I'm keeping the punisher books. I'm getting rid of my books, those books just happen to be part of the books i'm selling. He had what 30 issues or so of spiderman I could have grabbed if I wanted to make total profit. I listed that set high which again was better than a 7.0 I didn't think anyone would buy them at that price but they did. I've seen enough drama in the PIF thread already. I've seen tons of drama on this site. Seems like if theres no drama people aren't having any fun. The new guys always get picked on even if they don't do anything. Talk all the you want. I have better things to do than feed the drama. I know what I offered. Just because someone puts a grade on a book doesn't mean the book is that grade. Long time collectors should already know that. Once someone gets something be it paid or free it's theres to do whatever they want with. Sell it trade it burn it throw it away whatever it is. It was a generous offer that I'm thankful for the punisher series is some of the best i've read. I'm not only selling the books I got from him, i'm selling 99% of what I have. I keep some, some sold. I thought they were dupes. No wait you took them because they were "good reads". But you wouldn't need them if they were dupes, would you? No wait, you're getting rid of all your books, which is why you took more books. Once you get something it is yours to do with as you please, unless you said you wanted them because they're good reads and you instalflip them on Ebay. And then you say it's because they were dupes, which means you didn't need them as readers. Which makes everyone think you were lying when you said "They look like good reads" as your impetus for taking them in the first place. Take yourself down off of the "New Guys Get Picked On" cross. New guy, veteran guy, doesn't matter when you take something under one pretense and it turns out to not be true. Really sorry that your flip on the Batman set you got for free wasn't as instant or as profitable as you had hoped. Maybe you'll be able to take advantage of other boardie's generosity more effectively next time. I never said anything about $8 not being enough I didn't pay anything for them you just act like I'm about to get tons of money from the books Not all where doubles, I never said every single one of the books were doubles I've had these books for over 2 months guess you can't read books in that amount of time I just decided last week to sell most of my books Twist my words any way you want
