  3. I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I was just curious what other interests my fellow board members have besides comics. I have never collected traditional "action figures", however, following my passion for art and design, I have a collection of urban vinyl/art toys. This hobby began after a trip to New York three years ago where I visited a store called Kidrobot. The toys are designed by some of the most well known graphic designers and graffiti artists from around the world. I find the designs and artwork inspire me in much the same way comics have over the years.

So, what do you guys collect besides funny books?

If you like that,... I have a bud that makes these type of toys

    hey red,

you can ask paul (silverandbronze) about a guy that he knows that uses an eraser to get those

nasty red stamps off for you...

supposivally (as a bonus) this same resto expert even waves the books he works on around

the room to get the eraser dust off for FREE!

    That is a cool battle...

My fav par is when DD is being dragged by subs through holding onto subs ankle in a feeble attempt to try and keep him from destroying the city! DD had been beaten so bad that he couldn't get up to defend NYC, but only death would keep him from giving up to stop him...

If I can remember right - subs is so amazed at how valiant this hero is to protect

his town that he just straight up leaves...

    Great Story!

  6. I was conducting some research recently when I stumbled across a Rolling Stone article from 1971 which mentioned Stan Lee's personal collection. I immediately thought of the "File Copies". However, as I continued to read, I found it quite odd that the piece mentioned how Stan's whole collection was ruined as a result of a water leak in his basement.

I kind of crazy but even if his collection was a 0.5 grade

I bet people would still pay thru the nose for it...

I could see being mailed dripping wet from his own pizz

and I'm sure someone would buy this and label it a fine pedigree.

  7. Hi. My first cover post. I just got this one in yesterday.

btw - what is the optimal size to scan and/or post cover scans at? My first attempt and the board told me the file was too big.

Sorry, getting the hang of things here.

It is kind of weird, but the villian on this cover reminds me alot of

"Mel Blank" the secret identity of the Gibbon in ASM 110-111.

I wonder if this guy was an inspiration for that character?
