  1. Also, not sure why you guys think the prices are mile high.
  2. I think we have two kinds of people commenting on here about Mile High. I personally would only buy from them to resell. Most who seem to be having problems are buying for their personal collection. If I'm going to drop down a good chunk of money on something for the PC I want to be able to see it in person.
  3. Are there any "businessmen / businesswomen" on here that make "... their entire living " based on the comments posted here? I recently received an out of the U.S. investor, by email, who would like to invest in your fine business model.
  4. Movie getting made? Not good chances. Getting optioned, ok.
  5. With the 1:100 and other incentive variants, I think there will be plenty to go around. Do we know what the print run is on this? Is the NYCC sketch the most rare at 400? Won't know the distribution for a month. But yes, I would assume that to be the least printed. Hard to believe there are only 400 out there. How will you know the print run on the 1:100? Right, I assumed the will print more than 400 of the 1:100, which could entirely not be true. We will never know, even once the numbers are released.

  7. I just had an issue with an order this week. I documented the condition with photos, told them why the issue happened (poor packaging) and politely asked how they would like to resolve the issue. They responded in four days. I honeslty don't expect anyone to respond within 12 hours. Four days is a little longer than I would like, but it's better than other times with them. They offered three ways to resolve the issue. All of which were acceptable, or even more than acceptable, including a full refund.
  8. Even with the added shipping charge, *if* the books arrive in stated condition, it's a decent price. Not a steal, but not highway robbery either. However, based on this transaction, I will not do business with them again. I tried them out and learned my lesson. Perhaps others can learn from my mistake, too. Icing on the cake update: Received my order today; instead of sending me the comic pictured on the site at the time of purchase (and priced accordingly), I now have the less valuable alternate cover. #neveragain I would email them and see if they will exchange out.... I on the other hand would cut my losses and run. Must be nice....
  9. I would assume Bat in the Sun has their views / clicks setup to be monetized by YouTube.
  10. Does that trigger something with the story? Not with the Old Man Logan story, just correlating to a possible demise. That smelting plant doesn't look even remotely operational. Probably picked for the post apocalyptic look. But what about the secret underground smelting plant? That's where Omega Red lives!
  11. Thanks for being upfront about things. Are you doing slabs of the "secret" variant? That would put them down to about 350 left, 250 from your store. How do you plan to replace copies of the secret variant that may be damaged? Do you have extras printed?
  12. Same as the others. That's about the smallest you can go with Marvel. Thanks for the reply, but I noticed Midtown & TFAW never offered it. It was available at DCBS at a premium. I had 25 copies ordered until they can canceled all but one. I apologize, thought you were referring to a store variant. Based on the DCBS price I would say it's either a 1:10 or 1:15.

  14. I assume you took cues from then from their Top 10 and Variant Heat Check topics which first started in Feb. 2015? Oh, they mimicked that based on the old Wizard Top 10. But even before that Overstreet had a top list by age. But yes, you were the first to do a comic list.

  17. Yea, that list is for the past 3 months or so. Basically copying this thread that Jay and I put together (well, mostly Jay!) Jerome Huh? I appreciate the work that JDR and yourself have put into this. But it's a 10-12 book list with consideration of about another 15, maybe. The other list is 100 books. Yes, there will be some overlapping, but this list is of well known books. That is why they sell for so much. They are known and desired. The other list is of harder to find books, yes, maybe less desired but they sell for a decent chunk of change, just not approaching the 4 figure mark. Weird day on the boards...
  18. That's all speculation though. Obviously Norman Reedus has done other work and has a show in the works. (I'm guessing that's what was being hinted at.) Steven Yeun (Glen) has done work during the show for the animated Chew. Rooker did GOTG.
  19. Thanks for posting something relevant! It was recently mentioned on this site, so that's probably why. http://comicbookinvest.com/2016/10/07/get-comic-book-steals-20-less/
  20. Not going to read that wall of text, but I'm not here to educate people on hot books when they offer nothing. In the past week there have been a few books mentioned, all having to do with movie news. Not that hard to find that stuff. If you don't think the book is hot, for whatever reason, you're flat out wrong. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=cable%20and%20deadpool%2050&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2045573.m1684
  21. Not this mess again....... Is that not a good return for a non-variant Modern? Thought that's what the thread was about. Sure but context is important. That book is being bought and sold on the presence and spread of misinformation. It kind of helps to know that if you are interested in buying or selling it as it helps to determine the level of risk. I just posted a sale. Not my problem to make your mind up for you. But you did nothing to determine the why. The why is important. Why?....because someone thought it was worth that much. That's why all books sell for the price they do. No reason to judge how someone else spends their money. Are you asking if I would pay that much for that book? No, I wouldn't personally.
  22. Given that most of the actors on Walking Dead have never done anything significant prior to this show, not having another show lined up is no surprise for most of them. Everyone should be under contract for WD. If not, then they are likely killed off by Negan as they doing something else now. I'm confused. Are you saying you're only allowed to do one show or movie at a time?
