  1. ...it's annoying when someone wants to sell something and they give a better price to the buyers? Trying to wrap my brain around that concept, but just keep coming back to the idea of greedy sellers whining about not making more money on something they paid $20 each for with intentions of a quick flip I had JTC personalize mine.....wont be selling it obviously. +1
  2. Bubble Wrap is essential, provided you put sturdy cardboard AROUND the comics 1st. Sorry to see this. It seems to be a common malady of the JTC school of shipping. Never used it in an envelope and have never had a problem. Two pieces of sturdy cardboard with an inch border on all sides of the comic is all that matters. I only use it for boxes along with peanuts. Bubble Wrap-O-Phobe!!!

  4. I cringe when I open a package to see bubble wrap. For some reason people are under the impression that makes it indestructible in shipping. Save yourself some money and buy me another piece of cardboard.
  5. Not surprised at that at all. I didn't have trouble moving Fine copies for $20.
  6. Both of those have the same cover date and published by the same company, same cover, etc... I looks like one had a toy with it, or the toy came with the comic.
  7. Looks like it's gone down actually. Was a $15-20 book not too long ago. Ah, I just saw the tail end than. Thanks Ygogolak. (thumbs u Looks like now is the time to be buying. I think she will show up at some point.
  8. Depends which Night Nurse you are talking about. There are rumors of Linda Carter being in the Dr. Strange movie, but Claire Temple was already in season 1 of Daredevil and was unofficially "night nurse". is the dr. strange movie going to be based on "the oath"? would be a weird way to introduce the character in the movies, although, frankly, it is going to be a tough sell anyway unless whoever is playing dr. strange is a known acting commodity....cumberbatch might be there, he is known, but hasn't had fans for years back. Thought it was based on Shamballa? Either way, there haven't really been any strong correlations between a comic story and a Marvel movie.
  9. Yes, there is interest, but not a huge demand. My guess is that it's due to people not knowing about it and those that do not caring. You have to remember that are a majority of readers / buyers that only care about the big two, especially today when people are seeing these "for the first time" and thinking that Marvel came up with the idea. The series itself is sought after, but only by a small group. I don't really see them in the wild, only online.
  10. I'm sadly bumping my own question. Maybe I'm the only fan of Scud or I grossly got over shadowed by pimping. Yeah, now it's sad every way I look at it. There's no way to answer your question. You're asking why nobody has submitted a book for grading?

  13. He just said that he could not commit to directing it because they have not given him a time table. It's still not a movie, he just did a -script for it.
  14. Power Girl and the Birds track down the most dangerous maniac in the world--the Joker! Canary and P.G. have captured their target, but there's just one problem: He's got New York City targeted for thermonuclear destruction and Oracle must face her greatest fear in order to stop him!
  15. Crazy, the Joker only appears in 5 panels (?) from a Killing Joke flashback & the art is horrendous. I think the cover's pretty nice though... The first issue in that series has been doing well for awhile. Slabbed 9.6's have a GPA average of $156 the past 12 months. 9.4's have been averaging $117. Raw copies have been getting good results too. That must mean my Birds Of Prey #16 is worth hundreds. YES!!!!!!! Doesn't have to do with Killing Joke, does it?
  16. But it's not his first solo book. First solo title, yes, but I agree, worth setting aside his first solo book, which is not Cyborg #1. There are a lot of people that don't spend $200 at an entire convention, let alone one dealer.
  17. There are quarter boxes at every convention. They may be going out of style, but they still exist. One of my local shops has 3 quarter boxes that they regularly replenish. Most of the stuff is low grade major titles and 90's stuff, but I do find some things now and then.
  18. The prices people are paying for "quarter books" these days is just astonishing. If someone had told anyone on the CGC board ten years ago that people would be paying $80 for a raw copy of Suicide Squad #48, the laughter would have gone on for 5 years. Book hasn't been a quarter for years. I bought one about 4 years ago for Overstreet price at the time, maybe $4. Sold it recently for a handsome bit more. Sold with a couple of hours. Must have been priced aggressively. Thank you, Mr. Literal. it's always been one of the more valuable books in the run, that and #23. I remember passing on #1 many times.

  20. Suicide Squad #48 had died down for a little, but it's back and poppin' now with the Mark Hamil news as well as The Killing Joke.
