  1. Market manipulation also happens on eBay fairly often.
  2. Yes, but to play devil's advocate on the Howard, it actually has her in the story where the Secret Wars doesn't. But to counter my own point, Marvel 17 doesn't have her in the story. So, to sum up.....
  3. This is just crazy. You can get key Deadpool issues (with the exception of New Mutants 98), for cheaper. Hell, the book that started this craze, Deadpool's Secret Secret Wars 2 Bachalo Variant, can even be had for cheaper than this now! Yes, but this is an incentive variant. The original was not. Plenty of incentive variants that go for high prices.
  4. How bad? The comics were in a cardboard USPS flat rate envelope, which was then folded to fit inside another flat rate envelope of the same size. That's it, nothing else. Shipping cost $10 too and if I had to ship that it would cost $5.05.
  5. Got my Deadpool #1 Liefeld's, ugg, why did I think this store would package any better than the rest. Has there been a store that has actually packaged well? I know Cargo Hold is on here and should be shipping out now.
  6. There's one listed. Looks like everyone is hoping on the "rare variant" train.
  7. There is only 1 for every 500 copies that a retailer orders. 1. How many retailers are going to order 500 copies? 2. Wait until you see how much it is going for the week it comes out!
  8. Very surprised they can cast, shoot, edit and air all that in 3 weeks. Probably will be a brief cameo (Hulk 180).
  9. I would hope that people buy things for the price that they think is fair to them. A comic bought off the shelf at the local LCS has a relative inflated price. Inflated, in your terms = profit, the way I am reading it. What I am trying to address is the people that come on here looking to make a quick buck and get caught holding the "hot" comic at the wrong time. There is still value left in these comics.
  10. You said they have no actual value. It's an exercise in when to buy and when to sell.
  11. It was a $100 book for a while. Settled around $75 it seems.
  12. If I had more than my personal collection copies I would be happy to unload them to you. To each there own, let's revisit this post in 6 months and see where its at. Why would I hold them for that long? My argument is against being a buyer, and you are acknowledging anyone buying is foolish with your reply(while also asking to buy), so we agree. If you acknowledge they have no actual value, and you are buying them from me now, how much do you think they will go up between now, when you are paying the current price, and when you plan to sell them. I never said I would pay the current price. No actual value? A dollar bill has no actual value.
  13. Never chase the villain books, be it Jessica Jones, or Avengers Infinity War. A new hero not previously cared about, (Jessica), sure. A villain who is one and done, sell that into the hype 100% correct. I'll take all of the Alias #24's that you have. 14. 2 months ago you probably also passed on A deal like this almost $30 for shipping for a VF #1 (maybe) would probably get me to pass today Alias 1 was hot at the time I passed on the reprints. I just figured the reprints would be worthless. That was for the whole series. did anyone care about any of the other issues until yesterday? by the time i get around to scanning and listing #24 it will be $1 again. also, VF, sometimes it is hard to move VFs. sometimes it is easy. but for the non-key books i suspect it will be hard. There are lots of people that will buy entire runs. Also, I sold a #24 at the beginning of August for $22, so yes, there were people interested.
  15. Regarding the Extraordinary X-Men Campbell variant. A lot of people are focused on the X-23 variant and this one is flying under the radar. Not much buzz about it at all. Even JSC hasn't posted anything about it on his social media. However, midtown looks like it's already sold out. I can see this selling well after release date as well. Personally, I don't think it's that good.

  19. 3,000 / 1,500 you're not saying anything that isn't already known.
  20. Never chase the villain books, be it Jessica Jones, or Avengers Infinity War. A new hero not previously cared about, (Jessica), sure. A villain who is one and done, sell that into the hype There is always a spike on any cast character. Just don't get caught holding them after the movie or show comes out, unless you just want it for the PC.
  21. That's basically what the market it built on now. You know the saying.....one every day?
  22. New Quasar -- Captain Marvel #16 from 2004. I have some CA 217's as well, but those have gone back down. Hmm, both wrong in regards to the female Quasar.
  23. Made a good offer and quick payment on some books!
