  1. It wasn't a failure, it will turn a profit. Looks like it already did by those numbers.
  2. Also, the same buyer bought two of the three which suggests they were filling a hole or they know something we don't.
  3. I'm not 100% sure what you are disputing, but ... http://movies.cosmicbooknews.com/content/james-gunn-doesnt-nova-might-not-ever-show-movie Wasn't disputing anything. I was attempting to state that he is being interviewed all over the place these days so it's hard to keep up with what he says. Thanks.
  4. Where did you hear this? He has a bunch of podcasts but I have not heard of this.
  5. Ah, you hit on the one normie book that has done well, TWD.
  6. Yes, reverse movie / comic book: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062622/ Funny. Mister Machine / Machine Man / X-51 was a Kirby creation for the comic I totally see this getting hot! Well overdue. Classic Kirby book and not too many copies around! Wouldn't say that, plenty along with Devil Dino and Sandman.
  7. I'll disagree. When I say "normie" I thinking, what separates this character from others in comics? Usually it's a mutation of some sort that makes them different and collectible, which is what the question was about. Amanda Waller has been very much involved in TV and New 52 Suicide Squad and yet her 1st appearance is not worth a whole lot more than 2 years ago. Sardu is The Strain's version of a Vampire. I'm not saying this doesn't make the story any better or worse, just doesn't do much in terms of collectability, IMO. ....there is a "TV" preview:
  8. Yes, reverse movie / comic book: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062622/
  9. I wonder when the Strain 5 will start to get hot? Don't see it being any more valuable than any of the other books. The characters in this book are all normal human beings for the most part and very rarely do "normie" books do much.
  10. That's probably too high. With some shopping around you can get them for less than that. No way, especially if they are VF/NM or NM. #22 alone will pull that. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?LH_Sold=1&LH_Complete=1&_from=R40|R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=miracleman+22&_sop=13 Vintage Stock is running a BOGO sale next weekend. The particular store that has these is about 25 miles from my house. If I get time, I may run back and pick up the Miracleman #18,19 and 22 since they would end up being only $7.50 each next weekend. Oh, shoot. Thought that was $15 for all of them. $15 each I would pass unless you want them desperately. You can wait it out and find a better deal on eBay.
  11. Maybe they had multiple bid snipes setup or something.
  12. Whoa, whoa, whoa, ha. IMDB is like Wikipedia for the most part. A lot of people can edit the information on it. It also says "announced", which to my knowledge it has not been anywhere.

  14. Fear already dropping back down. It was fetching $100, now $50 or less. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0366547/fullcredits?ref_=tt_ov_wr#writers
  15. Wow. That cover looks awesome. Peeps on Ebay already charging a $50 average on the book. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=Amazing+Spider-man+%231.4&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=Amazing+Spider-man+%231.4+J+Scott+Campbell&_sacat=0 Link doesn't work, but yes they are if you search for it.
  16. Welcome to the posting world of divad! Note as well that all three of those auctions have exactly one bid. Which means only that someone was willing to pay the asking price, not that there some great clamoring for the book. That's pretty typical of his sales. He has some nice high grade books, but they seem to typically sell just to one buyer who wants / needs it.
  17. Was introduced on Drumhellar and have had an eye out for more ever since.
  18. I have had this opinion for a while. Playing devils advocate though, there is no revenue for eBay if there is nobody buying. I don't feel the buyers on eBay will ever dry up as it has market dominance. Even other comic book sales sites have basically the same fee structure but obviously have less web traffic.
  19. You wanna get me started again yeah I got one up for 23....and it doesn't even have a watcher on it...( just put it up yesterday though ). so I think someone is gonna be mighty disappointed... If youre selling a copy now I'd only advise you to never ever get into stocks Still holding that Solyndra stock for the big payout?
  20. Both have movie or TV connotations. Pretty much any book that gets hot out of nowhere now days.
