  1. It will be when somebody on here starts pimping it out as the next hot new thing... Already happening elsewhere. I would tread lightly, very few of the books related to the Arrow series and characters that have been featured on it have seen much interest in the secondary market. Nothing wrong with trying to get ahead of the curve, but similar first appearances haven't seen that much of an uptick in demand. Yeah, I'm not sold on all these DC TV appearances keeping their demand. Only book that legitimately caught fire was New Teen Titans 2 because of Deathstroke. And even that surprises me since the picture I saw of him looks like a fanboy went to Ace Hardware and made his own getup. You sure you're not thinking of Deathlok from the SHIELD show?
  2. I have read multiple sources saying this. I don't think it's a bad bet if you can get them cheap.
  3. Not really, not yet at least. This has been a $10+ book for years. 1st Katana and 1st Outsiders. funny how we get excited when a book is still selling for under guide as a hot book well it hasnt sold yet, 4 days left and it has bids and recent news that matters. it also looks like it will sell for well over guide. im pretty sure heating up is the apropriate term for this comic and i suspect others would have pointed out the importance of this comic in due time Agreed, more than just a post about the sale of one comic would have been helpful. How about a linky? http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/07/02/devon-aoki-joins-arrow-as-katana/
  4. 121 & 129 have really taken off in the past year with the market uptick. If/ when there is a slow down again it will drop back down.

  6. Original buyer could have pulled out. 2 weeks between ending times.
  7. They are? Got some bombshells in, all damaged corners. Emailed them multiple times about that and another issue. Seems like a 2-3 day turnaround on an email response. Probably never use them again, don't typically buy the variants and that's the only reason I would having dealt with other, better sources. Use their online chat. Email has never worked for me. but their online CS reps have always been really helpful. Tried is once, during operating hours. The message I received said it was offline (not during operating hours which it was) and that I would be contacted by email when they were available. Not a peep regarding that, ever.

  9. It was $1.50 in March and is still selling for $40-50. What is reality? Yes, there were a few $100 outliers, but not that many.
  10. What are they buying? Bad speculation, everybody trying to beat the price inflation. You should embrace it. In fact you should embrace every high dollar Bronze Age sale. (thumbs u I don't have a problem chasing bad money. I have a problem with people starting false rumors on here. A lot of people read the information on here and never comment.
  11. Are you really paying those prices, $15? for Outcast?
  12. Firestorm #23, 1st Felicity Smoak, finally picking up a little. Still can found in the $1 bins. http://www.ebay.com/sch/Copper-Age-19841991-/165364/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=firestorm+23&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc

  14. anyone know the print run? It's low 11,000 I think 26,287, and remember that's the Diamond number.
  15. That's how long it takes to get through CGC. Maybe talk to them about timely. As I said, to my knowledge this is the first 9.8.
  16. Not reprints, how so? They are simply a comic with a different logo where the UPC or direct image would be placed. As far as I know there were no DC Universes only comics.
  17. Yup, hopefully Ween learns his lesson: stick to BINS instead of auctions. Some of you guys a crazy as sh*t. Again, this is not my auction. I though people post here to discuss collecting comics that are undervalued or rare. The DC Universe UPC box printings are both. Again, very niche market for them, much like price variants. The ones that do command some money are the books that are already valuable, like MOS #18. I don't think this particular one that sold will ever be worth more than it's 1st print counterpart.
  18. Last report was Darren Cross would be playing Yellowjacket, not Crossfire.
  19. Issue #13 had a print run of 10k, can't imagine this would be even double.
  20. $5.01 actually. No. It sold for a penny. It did, does your local shop charge you for shipping and handling? Maybe that's why it didn't sell, ha
  21. 1st SA #5 9.8 (that I know of), hits the bay. Comes out guns blazing at $1k! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Superman-Adventures-5-CGC-9-8-White-1st-Livewire-Rare-1-6-in-Grade-/231268993265?ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123
