Maybe try reloading the firmware Worked for me. I just bought one from the same ebay seller that was linked a couple of posts up. Not a great packaging job, but the scanner arrived quickly. Had to use a PC laptop to download the HP firmware update and then reload that onto the scanner. Then purchased VueScan as I'm using a Macbook pro running Mavericks.

Works like a charm now.

Sorry, was stating that ordered liberty sounds on its face to be an oxymoron. But left to our own devices, things fall apart. Hence order is necessary. This thread is set up as take and then give. Not give and then give. As such, there needs to be some rules and some enforcement.

Don't get down on yourself. Your second offers were good offers but maybe someone is not looking for those books right now. When I was in the hot seat I was going to keep adding offers every 12 hours or so and someone will eventually see something they want. Have fun.
