  1. Puffery is not actionable. It's like a lot of listings I see where the seller quotes a gpa price but they selectively use the highest gpa. Appropriate for a book that doesn't trade often but for a common book? Diligence is required as there is plenty of shady going on here.
  2. Mailing cash inside a card (e.g., birthday, thank you, etc.). You could get confirmation each time that $ was received. Just sayin.
  3. Cash in a card: $25 Stamp: $0.44 Honoring one's debts: Priceless
  4. Ed bought a couple of silver ASMs. Great communication, quick pay, fantastic guy. Would love to do more business. -Dave KPR Comics Keys Priced Right!
  5. Damn. A BA bonanza. That would keep JoeyPost busy for the next few years.
  6. Proud to be Jeff's first Kudos post. Bought a very nice ASM 121 from Jeff. Outstanding communication, great to deal with, fantastic guy. -Dave KPR Comics
  7. . I would say the book is yours to do with as you please. A reasonable time has passed for him to perform and he hasnt. the sale is void. If you can't contact him, you can't refund. If he does resurface, a refund would be in order. Has the concept of establishing a "court" been floated on the boards? Not that anyone wants to take on the responsibility of being the arbiter of transactions, but in cases like this where OP is concerned about board fallout if he sells the book and the buyer later resurfaces, it might be beneficial to get some determination ahead of time from the boards that his actions will not run result in a HOS or PL mess.
  8. Bought an ASM 121 from Kristopher. Shipped quick, priced right, accurate on grade. Very happy and would do more. Thanks -Dave KPR Comics - Keys Priced Right!
  9. imagine Peter Parker with testicles. That came out wrong.
  10. Billy wallpapers his family room with 9.8s. He only collects 9.9s
  11. I tend to agree that more flippers own this book than real collectors, and the bubble will burst and down will come flippers, wallet and all. I think you can say that for a lot of books, don't you think? I have no evidence to back this up, but I'm confident that a good number of people own 9.8s for their exit value.
  12. It's all relative, gents. 1,400 may seem like an abundance, but when there are 14,000 people that want a 9.8, it's the very essence of scarcity. 14,000 is a made up number of course, but there clearly is more demand that supply. For reference, look at ASM 129. Not a "rare" book, and there are about 1,300 at 9.2 and above. Now look at what a 9.2 goes for.

  14. Same feelings here. Got my hopes up when I read the thread. Hopes were dashed immediately. I agree with ff's advice. Move along, nothing to see here.
  15. Standard sub received/verified 4/10 Scheduled for Grading 4/30 Graded 5/6 Shipped/Safe 5/8
  16. Did a nice cash/trade deal w/Mike and pried his prized GSX1 away. Always a pleasure to work with such a fine, upstanding, and all around great guy.
  17. Ok, a deceptive trade practice then. Regardless, is that the type of seller you want here? People roasted a guy this week for shipping media envelope instead of priority boxed, to the point where he has quit selling here. This symbiotic guy appears to flaunt his deceptive ways and gets support.
  18. Shilling is fraud. If that is not HoS worthy, then what is? Isnt the point of HoS to shed light on these bad actors? You can't assume every buyer is going to find and read this thread.
