  1. I always thought the storytelling in the older valiant stuff was awesome. Maybe I'm in the minority. I'm not a huge fan of comics into movies but I will throw some money at those movies because I enjoyed the stories. I mean, how could you not like immortal bada$$es??! Missed the point? He didn't comment on whether the stories were good or bad, just that the stories did not suddenly get better in the past 4 months. For sure. I read Valiant books as a teenager and enjoyed the stories. Not enough for me to keep or buy extra copies of, but the stories were different and told well. I'll see the Valiant movies also but (probably) not in the movie theaters. If Batman and Joker keep being brought back from the dead, shouldn't they be considered immortal bada$$es as well?
  2. Exactly! All of the people saying Batman's not dead...no *spoon* Captain Obvious. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that he's coming back. When? How will that happen? What are the short and long term effects? How is the new arc with "Mecha-Batman" going to be? Those types of questions are what's going to make it interesting. Same with Joker. You can't kill off the greatest villain in comics. Right... so what makes the same story that has been told before (major character "killed" but never dead) worth the kind of money being paid? Is it an investment? For what time frame? When does it get "higher" than it is today? Great storytelling? Epic arc? Snyder/Capullo? Joker/Batman? Legacy? It's NOT the same story that's been told before. It's been a brand new story that has kicked . Why are people buying older Valiant comics all of a sudden? Why are people spending money on books that were stone cold for YEARS? It's not because the storytelling got better. It's because of the movie deal announcement. Speculation. People will buy/speculate/collect what they want. There is no need to justify what people spend their money on. Just enjoy the ride.

  4. I want that!!! Joker? Check 58th issue? Check (only important since that's one of my favorite #'s) Fish in a holster? Check
  5. Uhh, there's spoilers in this here TMNT FCBD preview: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2015/04/24/what-actually-happens-to-donatello-fcbd-spoilers/ EDIT: Great 'freakin' cover too. And I am in no way a huge TMNT fan. Respect!

  7. Speaking of combo packs (haha), I picked up my Superman Unchained #1 to bag and board it better and the polybag tore apart. Luckily it's a great copy but I RARELY take books out of the original packaging if that's how the book is bought. Ah well. Curious, what do you think it would grade? I keep hearing stories about combos being poorly handled at the factory stage 9.4 - 9.6 in my opinion using http://comicspriceguide.com/comic-book-grading. I've never had a book graded so I am a novice at that. It's a great collection copy 'fo 'sho

  9. Uhhh, besides what the other user said... Very cool Kurtis! She's a terrific actress and I hope to see her in more stuff Looking forward to MORE RAT QUEENS!!!
  10. Good luck on your grades!!! I have a Leia and Darth getting graded and a couple of Boba's when they are released
  11. +3 but only because it's the anti-speculation train. Woot woot! Got my collection copies ordered and a couple of extras to put aside. Who knows, those Batman comics could "Valiant" themselves and become collectible one day
  12. I definitely agree with this! Just a matter of time. Would love to see Spider-Men so Peter and Miles were in a movie together. Just sayin'
  13. This should explain a lot towards Darth Vader #3: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2015/03/23/darth-vader-3-has-sold-out-and-gone-to-2nd-print-thanks-to-aphra-and-the-droids/ Not even released yet and a 2nd print on the way? Epic
  14. And a lot of them. Daaang! Edit: Darth Vader #3 is freakin' smoking. Very few base left on the 'bay and Larocca's are few and far between. Good luck if you haven't gotten in yet
  15. After reading this interview, here's my take: 1) Donatello died. WIth the way the interviewer worded his questions, he gave the co-writer NUMEROUS opportunities to dispell the notion that Donatello didn't die. He was never corrected. 2) Donatello will be back. How though? When? My take: the ooze (somehow) and issue #50. We've all seen the preview of Donatello in bed with the oxygen mask on. 3) TMNT #44 will remain hot for awhile, but it will cool down (how's that for brilliant speculation?)
  16. How cool is this Afterlife With Archie variant? http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/exclusive-francesco-francavillas-afterlife-with-archie-8-and-sabrina-2-variants I will most definitely be picking one up for the collection!
  17. 100% agree, especially the bolded part. Well said sir! (thumbs u
