  1. CGC Boxes (Bundle of 5) $40.00 Shipped Now I have to figure out what to do with the other 3 boxes. I only have enough slabs for 2 boxes probably. To good of a deal to pass up though! Edit: Paid
  2. Looked at them this morning on eBay. At that time, no one had it listed as an "error/misprint". Not sure right now ('cuz they blocked eBay at work. Smart move!) EDIT: I didn't buy any. They were already around $8 shipped. Cover price is $5.99 though to not too bad if you want one.
  3. Very happy I picked up another Batman 567. Cassandra Cain is a bada$$! I hope she gets some play outside of Batman & Robin Eternal
  4. What are your opinions on Young Avengers? I will be doing my own research but I would like to know what you think as far as "speculation" is concerned. I bought a couple of the Wizard World LA con exclusives autographed by Jim Cheung for $15 each and one of the Director's Cut because of a Google+ spec site. There's 6 first appearances in #1 so I at least know that Too much? Good spec? Not worth it? I appreciate it! Jason
  5. Purchased a Wolverine 13 Mexico version of the super low print "Wolverine as Deadpool" variant. Packaged well, would buy from again.
  6. specs selling to specs Proof? It's getting tiresome to see that big sales are suspected to be spec to spec
  7. Very true. I am one of those speculators who got back into the mix thanks to these websites. Heyyyyyy, I resemble those remarks. I got back into the hobby in Aug 2013. I thought variants were very cool and bought a lot of them. Now, I still speculate on moderns but I know enough to have Silver, Bronze and a little Copper in my collection and to not buy so many variants. It's all a learning experience. Unfortunately, the "old guard" are pretty uppity when it comes to speculation. Regardless of what people think about how others should spend THEIR OWN money, the hobby is just fine. In fact, some of the new collectors/speculators are the ones buying their Gold, Silver, Bronze and Copper so that they can buy that same book in a higher grade (speculation). It's still called speculation. Even "readers" aren't buying books to fold up and put it in their back pocket. Books are read very carefully so as not to cause any, or more, damage, speculating that the book will not decrease in "value". Speculation, Holmes.
  8. I got as close as I am going to get to having one. I bought the Mexican version Still pretty bada$$
  9. Awesome transaction!!! Bought (2) Michael Turner 2006 SDCC sketchbooks and they are as described and packaged well. I appreciate it!!! Jason
  10. Completed an awesome deal and he sent the slabs very well protected! Bought The Walking Dead #100 2nd printing CGC 9.8 and 9.6 and the slabs are pristine Transaction was flawless and I hope to buy from him again! Thank you!
  11. Rat Queens! $*@£ yeah!!! I am loving this book no matter who the artist is (I do have my fave though)
  12. Ya, but that could be said about most books in this run. It's a great run. I dunno. Speculation makes my brain hurt. That's the rub though. There's no more spec left in this book right now. The combo, 1:25 and newsstand are for completionists like me. We know Bruce is still alive, we know they're not killing off Joker for good. It is what it is, a part of an arc with a terrible regular cover that has a sweet 1:25, low print combo pack and a hard-to-find in NM or better newsstand. Actually, did I just spec that book? I think I did. My bad.
  13. Because it's part of a great arc just like Court of Owls and Death in the Family. It's Batman, Joker, Snyder and Capullo. 4 great reasons why it's relevant to Batman fans. Outside of it being one of Capullo' worst covers that is.
  14. And I don't believe that they are going to be either. It is essentially a speculators dream book (except for the print run). Already sells well, great cover by a known artist, name brand book, 1st appearances, a good story and movie spec. Esentially, it is the type of book that anti-speculator snobs ridicule when seeing people buy multiple copies of. It's awesome
  15. Yep. I think it's a much better and far more significant cover than the Larocca variant that sells for double. You're kidding right? The Larroca cover is classic! It's a more exciting pose, but doesn't show much of Aphra's face and neither of the two new droids. So if it weren't a 1:25 would it be as desirable as the standard issue cover and why? If both covers were printed in equal #'s and you could only pick one to have, which would you pick? I'd pick the Adi Granov for sure. Been thinking about getting one cgc'd to display it. Also I'd say its in the top 10 covers of the new Marvel Star Wars line. If you do decide to get one, here's one at a GREAT price. I have (2) and no more money or else it would be three. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=8782249#Post8782249
  16. $15 was low for awhile there, was it not? What's the norm now? Sorry cell phone. I can't stop buying these. I've paid between $8 and $16 plus shipping. I wasn't buying when they first hit and now I'm addicted to the damn things. Feel a bit like a sucker, but here we are. No need to feel like a sucker at all. It's a Darth Vader book with 3 new characters on the cover and a feakin' sweet Adi Granov cover!!!
  17. I'm going to have you sign my girlfriend's boobs... Because they are enormous........ Who am I kidding... I'm single... I just wanted to make that joke ... Your imaginary girlfriend sounds delightful (thumbs u
  18. I'll send you a scan as soon as it's finished being photoshopped . . . Only if you send a picture of the photoshopped certification number since that was the only thing altered. The slab and grade are (thumbs u
  19. There needs to be a +1 button. Mods! MODS! MEATLOAF and +1 this *spoon*
  20. Hell yeah they are and I'm not even doing a registry set. That must be some tough going getting gradable copies of those things.
