  1. Garfield>Tobey>Nicholas Hammond ASM 2 was a stinker but Garfield had major potential I liked Tobey too for the record a combo of two would have been right on
  2. As a kid in the 70's and 80's I remember DD 1 ST 110 and TTA 27 being like the 3rd tier of collectible books from Marvel but considered key books nonetheless I don't ever remember Av 4 being considered like it is today. although extremely impt for a multitude of reasons relating to Cap it is not his first appearance and I think is being made up for in this way with SA collectors or because so many are priced out of the market with a Cap 1 . cap 1 prices are absolutely crazy and I don't see them falling back to Earth this book has probably taken over Marvel Comics 1 as the #1 Marvel book (timely) of all time even though I believe there are more available
  3. Wonder how much of that is due to Cap 1 's being priced out of the market for many collectors
  4. apologize in advance as Im assuming this might have been a thread already but can't seem to find it. which is the "bigger book" to you? pound for pound $ does 1 always top 4 in terms of sales?
  5. Dude! The Gotham collection is blowing UP!!!! COngrats!
  6. I use this thread to increase my posts---does that answer the question?
  7. Love seeing a Tec 38 in a sig line--great collection!

  9. Why is this book a 1.0? gorgeous copy! congrats! can you tell us where you found it?? I don't think Ive ever seen a label where the pages are labeled "brown"
  10. another pre robin tec on ebay Blue label .5 #35 always happy to see some .5's hit the market giving people a chance to own one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Detective-Comics-35-Classic-Cover-Early-Golden-Age-Batman-DC-1940-CGC-5-/311277573250?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item487996d482
  11. Ever since the trailer this forum has been at the top of the threads lately guess this book is due for a comeback like peops have been saying for a while
  12. Movies, cartoon shows /movies etc are HELPING keeping things relevant for the NEXt generation all these kids in Batman shirts and backpacks aren't wearing them because of the comics per say it helps them get into the books in many cases Bats 1 is a great book IMO mainly because of the Joker.....yes its a #1 and has one of the coolest covers around but its not the first appearance of Batman nor Robin (the 2 iconic heroes---which usually fuel sales) what Wayne-Tec was getting at I think was the new suicide squad movie and the fact that Jared Leto is on board to play the Joker (which I guess will be some sort of arkham asylum version) further putting the joker into the mainstream consciousness which will fuel more attention to the book etc you think Captain America #1 is where it was compared to 5 years ago without the movies success?
  13. Missed that one! I think that went relatively cheap! Ive seen a .5 Blue in worse shape than that go for 8k via CC The number of these books on the mkt never cease to amaze me I think they got a steal
  14. Sorry, didn't copy/save the link Previous poster said it went for almost 14k. It was a pretty sweet .5 IMO as well. This is definitely a top 4/5 book regardless of what the OPG says
  15. I think the seller had it at a minimum bid of 15k just recently so they got almost the minimum they wanted out of it.
  16. It's at almost 13k with 20 minutes to go. are we looking at a 20k book per point on blue labels these days? this book and af 15 just continue not to disappoint (comparing these two because of the availability )
  17. I know Supes is the "it" DC guy,But Green Lantern was the sh-t when I was a kid.It was a must have book for me too. Great book, great pickup! AGREED. GL was hot when I was a kid too. Maybe this needs a new thread but Ill ask the experts on this thread--how does this book compare to Showcase 4 pound for pound $ wise, census numbers, and collectible popularity???
  18. The last few months it's sold for 6k a point!
  19. I get the feeling from your posts that you don't need my measly copies --you do very well on your own! I should be buying anything from you have available for sale or trade
  20. I've offered you two copies in the last 6 months Peter--you're too picky !!
  21. That is absolutely beautiful! I love that friggin' cover! Tec 38 needs a club!
