  1. I said the same thing as good a scene or better than some movies wentworth miller was terrific I know nothing about captain cold on paper but I liked the actor' s choices
  2. Grim Gotham = Detroit Shiny Metropolis = Chicago Chicago was Gotham in The Dark Knight (as I'm sure you knew)
  3. Filming is moving to Chicago next week. Inside of Sears Tower is the Daily Planet
  4. Terry Gross of NPR's Fresh AIr interviewing the author of the book today at 11 am and 9 pm CST fyi
  5. Awesome! Well acted, written, special effects, produced. I'm hooked. Do not enjoy what I saw of Arrow but really dig this. WIll be fun to watch how it effects the funny books
  6. Dude looks like Black Adam Did he really think anyone would believe he was being considered for the Capt Marvel role? Always liked the Marvel Family covers
  7. a little too coincidental that this shows up post the 3.2M sale. I think it's been decided it's going to auction and that's why it was cgc graded. my question is where will it be auctioned
  8. Metropolis now has some new serious collateral to go after this
  9. anyone notice that the Sensation 1 blue 1.8 on CLINK kept appearing and disappearing on the summer auction list and now I see that it sold and is pending......
  10. Nice pick up! My fave cover/issue in your sig line to date....
  11. I can't join the Club as I sold mine in 1990 but I love this book. This was the very first "old back issue" I ever purchased. At the time I figured it was as close as I could get to an AF 15 back in the late 70's Loved loved loved owning this book
  12. Who thinks Marvel is rethinking opening a movie head to head with this thing? WHOOOOAAAA. Right off the page of the comic........haven't heard a peep out of Marvel in terms of hype all con. Bravo WB/DC Bravo
  13. Captain America's shield is everywhere in this country these days. Socks, backpacks, shirts, etc. I see adults and five year olds wearing the same Cap shirts . He has catapulted into a top tier character IMO. There is now the name recognition alone. If you ask any non comic fan to come up with 5 super heroes they may not name Cap but if you ask them if they heard of him after the fact I think you would get a resounding "yes".
  14. Its been my understanding that pop culture Americana style seems to reign supreme throughout the world. Most of the Superheroes live full time in the US anyway.
  15. Hi Rick, I have some money invested that has been making about 5-6% interest a year over the past 5 years. Is there a GA book you recommend that you think would better that over the next 5 years?
  16. I think the coverless Marvel 1 on Ebay that hasn't sold for a while at 12.5k is indicative of where this book is headed in the collector realm....that seems not be such an outlandish price to me for slabbed ,complete ,unrestored innards.......(when I saw a coverless MF 52 go for under $1.5k at auction recently I was shocked but I think its in the same vein) The Marvel name has a ton going for it and will keep it highly collectible for many years regardless of what the book is about.
  17. Thanks Red Fury! At first I thought that was how many copies they had
  18. What are the numbers in parenthesis after the owners names?
  19. I never thought it was rare per say (in comparison to other GA keys) I'm just surprised by the number of raw copies.
