  1. That's what makes Heritage so great IMO (among other things). Never experienced that opportunity at CC or CLINK but did with Hakes
  2. Swings both ways. Tim Drake is in the news !
  3. It's August 26 I believe. All consignments have to be in by the 10th They are not doing a good job of promoting this auction IMO.especially to comic book people. No way those books don't have a some sort of deal attached to them for them to use them (especially their big 3) . They are trying to do too much now IMO. Comics. Video games. Entertainment memorabilia. Stay in your lane or roll it out well
  4. Whatever happened to Mound City--I forgot about them ! We'll know soon enough if it's a success. Ay idea how long their auctions run ? I'm not sure it's worth the extra commission you have to pay as a seller (at least at this point) Still cheaper than their card rates to sell
  5. just came across them recently as well. I s The Vault still in business ?
  6. I don't think I would risk any big books at their first auction without a reserve. I can't imagine the top 3 books they have not having some kind of behind the scenes deal. You'd have to be foolish to play them there. Plus there seller fees are higher than the big 3. Why on earth anyone would want to consign right now is beyond me.
  7. I don't think an Action Comics 1 CGC would sell for any more than an Action 1 CBCS. I can understand the argument for highest graded but anything below that I don't think there is a difference between the companies.
  8. CBCS has Action 1's and Tec 27's on their population report. Personally I would have no problem paying market price for one of those two if it was certified by them. I trust them and CGC the same when it comes to grading and checking for restoration. No one else But those two I definitely do.
  9. The first half of the Miles Teller version I thought was excellent. It's like a different movie after that. I think the movie got a bad rap overall
  10. Renee Witherspoon > Funny Books. Been doing some research on Stephen Schwarzman. Not a guy I would even say "hi" to at Temple.
  11. Don't even get me started on who should be considered a real super model
  12. I guess I get the price for the turtle book when I start to look at Pokemon cards and rookie cards on some players who have only been in the league just a few years. Not to mention Brady who is still playing. Prices being driven by a younger generation than old school collectors. This is their nostalgia. for the record the TMNT's are fake superheroes
  13. How is AA 16 still #4 ? Bob sure does give a lot of love to that book. I understood it about 7 years ago when the census numbers were comparably low but not anymore
  14. I do. It's a gorgeous copy and although the concerns are valid about a 9.8 or multitude of such in the wings --we aren't there yet. I think Spidey takes the crown
  15. Well that settles it. The AF 15 will be the new record holder for the time being upon hammer. Any info if the Larson AC 1 will hit the auction block then ?
  16. If they go to auction soon. Tec Church, AF 15, Action Larson in that order IMO.
  17. FF needs more love. That 60s and 70s run (artwork, stories) are just some of the best ever IMO. Only rivaled by Spidey himself
  18. Who does this long time collector prefer in terms of auction houses ? Is Arnie Sawyer the owner as previously mentioned ?
  19. I'm actually more interested in seeing pics of the two 0.5's then I am the 8.5
  20. Hilarious post and hilarious response. Dayenu !
  21. excellent sleuthing ! The census for Flash 1 has blown up over the last 5 Yeats. Which was once behind the big two is now well ahead
