  1. How do you think these compare hammer wise to the AF 9.6 heading to auction. I have the Church Tec ahead of it and the Larson Sure behind it if all auctioned now
  2. Thought the same thing. Nut job = grifter
  3. You'd have to think the publicity for CGC or CBCS to grade these books gives you an automatic discount. (how much is the question) I'm guessing if the owner does get charged they use the OSPG as their value indicator
  4. I think you are correct. Maybe had it at one time ? Not god enough for him
  5. Action 1 73 total Tec 27 72 total Neck and Neck. We knew they were out there so now the question is: is it a sign that people are finally getting these ungraded mega books graded (and if not will this become a trend). all due to the explosion in the collectibles market ? man that 9.6 AF 15 luster didn't;t last long for me (it will come back)
  6. Did I hear right that 3 copies of Tec 27 were added to the census ? All unrestored ? What were the grades ?
  7. That 2.0 is just beautiful. It's a 60k point a book at this point but this one is special and deserves a premium
  8. Where does Heritage get such great pieces time and time again ? Do you think there are any cold call type strategies involved ?
  9. Maybe they have it in the old fortress type set ups pre CGC
  10. Goldin's videos are already better than Zurzulo's
  11. No surprise--their investors are the new owners of WATA
  12. I think he could get a 100k for it even with the missing pieces pq and eye appeal. Someones only chance to own one might be able to come up with that number.
  13. Cant imagine relying on the mail for a Tec 27 unless its coming from an auction house, etc
  14. I thought a piece was just missing from page 7 (post the Bats story). Must have misread the label.
  15. Your joking right ? That's a 6 figure book these days
  16. we collectors are a weird breed. I would have thought and done that as well
  17. Looks great Clark ! Why the reason for the reholdering if I may ask.... I love that pic of you behind the desk with your copy in the old holder (and I don't even know you ) but it makes me happy
  18. I rarely visit the silver thread and until this auction is over I'm setting up a tent right here !
  19. No reason to if you know what you have. Why risk the damage. It's been viewed by experts. If your not going to sell. basically no need and maybe not even in this case . I'm sure CGC or CBCS would do it for free just for the publicity
  20. That's why I respect Heritage over comic connect. They do it in public where there is evidence. Not saying CC sales aren't legit but Heritage is the auction houses of auction houses when it comes to funny books. There's a reason the big CC sales aren't done at one of their auctions. Spiderman is ultimately the most popular character and this sale will prove it I suspect
  21. I only take my heavy hitters to when CGC or CBCS is on site doing their grading. Pick them up same weekend
