Banner,
There was a large 2 x 3 ft. poster made of the classic Capt Amer #37 Schombourg cover. Part of a series of 3 Timely posters (All Winners, Human Torch) issued around the mid-80s. Makes a great display.

Crikey, that pre-Code cover is quite disturbing! Still it is a hi-# scarce Atlas with nice Maneely interior art.
-
Top census Atlas comic from my Asgardian vault:

Excellent point as 3 of my top Cgc SA Marvel bidders 2 weeks ago were from UK & my FF 1 Cgc is on its way to Australia soon.

Why is Bucky grinning so much while been bound by chains?
-
Saw another Archie cover circa 1955 that has Jughead asking Archie why Reggie is always so happy. Response: He's surrounded by (Betty & Veronica's) ample "tomatoes".
-
Archie is supposed to be a wholesome comic. How did this cover ever get by the Comics Code?
This is why Archie is still single after 60 years.

Bruce,
Thanks for the kind words. Always a pleasant transaction dealing with u. Enjoy the comic art.

Capt Flag's cape makes everyone of his covers patriotic.
Unfortunately, the writing in most Fawcett's is not very memorable. Cover so nice, I am going to post it twice.

Back in 1972 or 73 when that Action #1 sold for a record price, there were no deemed pedigrees yet.
I don't think any of Howard Rogofsky's "tape is not resto" early golden age would be considered a pedigree. He was 1 of the earliest mail order dealers advertising in Marvel comics.

Marvel Tales Ann #1, other Marvel title annuals & Secret Origins (DC) series from the 60s have collector value due to the vintage & the fact that they were squarebound reprints. Similiar to DC 100 pg Super-spectaculars. Reprints but squarebound collectors love them.

For golden age pages or coverless comics, Cgc slab is good for preservative qualities: deacidification paper. Force a spine rolled comic into a slab to try to offset the spine roll.

I leave feedback after the buyer confirms receiving the goods & is satisfied. This usually means leaving feedback right after the seller leaves it first for me. Too many potential problems with my eBay transactions that cross the border (98%), if I leave feedback right after the client paid.

Even 10 yrs ago, this salacious covered comic was selling for 2x guide in all grades.

Dim sum bronty collects game cartridges MINT in the pack.

U are correct. It is hard to justify an increase in Overstreet if there are no copies of a comic turning over locally or via internet auctions (cgc at Heritage) the last 5 years.

Co-writer to Stan Lee = Jack Kirby.
Len Wein/Marv Wolfman for New Teen Titans, Manhunter (Detective)
Chris Claremont on Uncanny X-men, Starlord (Marv Premiere mag).

Al Williamson, Frank Frazetta, Kamen, W Wood EC.

Seems like a lot of collectors have overlooked Gil Kane b/c he was 1 of the pillars of the comic book industry for so many decades for both National/DC, Marvel & independents. Seems like he drew 1/2 of the 1974-75 Marvel bronze covers.

Re Bode. Depressing but true. Don't try this at home. Putting a noose around your neck is never a good idea.
-
Looks like he enlarged some Gerber photojournal pics to 2 x 3 inch magnets. Sure would brighten up my fridge though.

Run of Dynomutt is tougher in vf for the Marvel completist.

Thanks for the gr8 cover links. Glad some other fanboy thought Comics Novel Anarcho Dictator of Death was worthy of being hi-lighted. 1 of my obscure favourites.

Dim sum Bronty may have been 1 of the 1st 20 forum members. Those were the days when u would check the board every 2nd day to see if anyone responded yet. Now ppl reply within 2 minutes.
Some of the hi-lights or low lights from 2002 forum include:
1. greggy being put in the penalty box at the same time as rickdogg, hammer/meth
2. butter pedigree
3. chicken little. Crash? What crash?
4. Heritage inside staff bidding against u above the hidden reserve price.
5. JP smashes all comic & comic art buying & sales records in the same year.

Illustration-House on the East coast sometimes auctions off Schombourg Timely cover painting recreations from the 70s. Think they are over $10k each now.
