I'm impressed by the overall quality of this copy. Even if the technical grade isn't in the NM range, it has a really nice clean look to it.

As far as the trimming goes, it's tough to say for sure. Personally, this is a book that I'd just keep in a nice mylar so I could take it out and enjoy it every so often; it seems like a shame to encase it in a plastic tomb. Just my 2 cents...

Very true, this is also an option to consider. It’s been in Mylar and fullback for several years and still looks to be keeping page quality which is nice.

Impossible to tell from a photo, but that it is a trapezoid cut, which is not uncommon on old comics, leads me to believe it's probably not trimmed, as who would do such a clean trim and not line up the blade for an even cut? But the only way to know with any degree of certainty would be to submit. I've submitted a couple of books with concerning edge cuts that came back blue, but had fingers crossed.

I have another book with a similar cut an old Air Fighters comic and the edge is also clean. Very good points thanks for your insight.

You can't always go by comparing it to other copies. There can be a variation in sizes based on the production quality of the time. I can't say if it's trimmed or not from a scan but I have seen plenty of old comics with a cut similar to that or even a more severe cut that were not trimmed.

This is true, I have seen worse with a blue label. Thanks
