Tbh, I wouldn't mind if the neg stayed.
When I claim a book, I'm ready to pay right then and there.
I guess I just expect the same when I'm selling.
If you want to buy a book from me. Claim, pay, and ship... 1, 2, 3.
I guess I can be a lil impatient.
-
He PMed me "wow"
Then he PMed me how he left me neg kudos.
So I ignored him.
-
It seemed like JJanet came to my defense and 6 came at him like a spider monkey...
But I guess I interpreted both wrong.
-
It sounds like the offended party is going to drop the nomination so this may be beating a dead horse, but I think this needs to be clarified:It's not like I threw up an and didn't pay.
I decided to sell the book to someone else. Go buy it on eBay.
It's what if venom possessed deadpool. Not a rare book.
Committing to a purchase and then failing to pay, and committing to a sale and then unilaterally deciding to sell the book to someone else are essentially the same thing.
The dollar amount and/or the rarity of the item is immaterial.
The nominator had a legitimate case.
I understand that you didn't like the extended payment terms, and you believe that you were somehow coerced into accepting them. But the fact of the matter is you DID agree to them, thus making those terms part of your binding agreement.
You can't decide at a later date that the payment terms that you both agreed to no longer suit you and are a justification to break your agreement with buyer, just as a buyer can't later decide he doesn't like the price he committed to with his Take It and refuse to pay.
I point this out because I get the impression from your responses that you feel you've done nothing wrong. If that's the case you could find yourself in this position again.
No I can see how they are similar. At the time I didn't think the buyer would care. I thought he would have been more understanding.
I still do feel that being a non payer is worse though....
-
I took him off ignore. I put him on because he kept PMing me (not to work it out).
I though he would have been more understanding. Didn't think it would be that serious.
-
Ok, thanks.
I am sorry... I honestly didn't think it was a big deal.
To you no, but for me I was expecting it.
I'm not gonna fight against another transaction you completed with someone else after the fact to get that comic back.
It's not worth it. I would rather not send my business your way.
I feel the same way brother.

I didn't add the laughing guys. Whoever quoted did that.

So now you are going to pull it out from under him too?
You told me you sold it already. You still have it now?
I'm confused man.
I waited over a month for that book. You messaged saying it was in. I said cool, I need 2 weeks to send out payment.
You agreed to that and a price. You even pm'ed your address to me.
This whole time I'm thinking Im getting that book and then out of nowhere I get a suprise pm saying you had to sell it.
but you didn't sell it...?
And I wasn't sending you "money orders". It was one money order for the full amount like we agreed upon bro.
I sold it today to someone I do business with all the time. If I tell him hey, some dude is crying over this book, he would understand. I would refund him his money.
I'm sure he would be fine with it like a normal person.
Still confused?
-
So what's my way out?
I still have the book. If voodoo wants to pay, I'll talk to the other buyer and let him know what's going on.
-
So cutting to the chase, seller agreed to sell a book under agreed upon terms and then sold it to someone else. Is that correct?
Yea...
-
I think the better way to have dealt with it then was to give the buyer a head's up that you needed to sell and give him the option of buying before the determined time if you needed the money sooner.
This way it just looks like you sold the book out from under him.
Yea in retrospect I should have... But it was a last minute thing.
All I did was not sell this guy my book. I really didn't even wanna sell it when he asked me to hold it for a month and pay with money orders.
I tried to get out then but he gave me he guilt trip.

I nominate:
Gem_Mint
I originally posted in the WTB section looking for "What if Venom Possessed Deadpool".
Gem_Mint pmed me saying he has one on the way to CGC and asked if I was still interested. Waited a month or so for him to get it back from CGC. A price, time frame, address and a payment method was exchanged.
Pm's me a few days later and says he had to sell it due to cash flow issues.
Basically he committed to a deal and then backed out.
He has since ignored and block me from pms.
David
Yes, I responded to your wtb thread while the book was at cgc. You were looking for a 9.8, it came back a 9.6. You still were interested so we agree on a price.
Then you advised me you can pay at the end of the month by money order (this was at the beginning of the month).
I said to contact me then and if I still have the book, it's yours.
Then you gave me a guilt trip on how you waited for me... This and that.
I never wanted to wait that long and then wait for money orders at that.
But you made me feel bad so I reluctantly agreed.
So yes, something came up and i was in a financial bind, some had to sell some books.
I apologized to you, but I guess that's not enough.
So let's see if you can get me on probation. I'm an active member of this forum and I buy and sell all the time.
I'm not some individual_without_enough_empathy who *spoon* people around all the time.
I had an unfortunate situation. I'm sorry I couldn't wait to sell you the book.

If he did then he got a better price for the better PQ!
Just for the record, I'll pay more for nicer PQ, but with big keys the difference in price may be more than my budget will allow. (thumbs u
Dump your entire collection and put it towards an AF 15...There is nothing you have you probably can't get again.
That's what I did actually.

I never had a bad experience either.
And I think I accidentally deleted my kudos thread just now.
