Nice recent pickups october! Many of your purchases are of books I've never seen before and always impress.
-
Two keepers Mike! Both Actions present really well.
-
Nice book & cool cover 143ksk. I've noticed you've picked up several Marvel Mysteries lately. Are you going for an entire run or have you narrowed your focus to particular issues or themes?
-
My security team! (I have 2 weiner dogs that would pee if someone broke in, so they're not much help)
Nice rooms everyone!

I've always liked those Wonderworlds with their great colors and Fine covers. Great deal getting your #11 at guide.
-
Surfer, I saw the HT 12 front/back cover scan in the grading thread and thought for sure it was at least a 7.0. Still a great book! Remember, it's just a number. If you ever sold it I'm sure you'd get some very interested buyers willing to pay a premium for it simply due to the outstanding eye appeal.

Action 22 has one of my favorite Shuster covers as well. Nice colors on your copy.
-
Cool Supes #19, and is within your "hero lifting vehicles" theme.
-
Thanks for the comments guys. Another war cover checked off the list.

Here's a new pickup. A nice midgrade Action #58. I don't see many of these come up for sale, so I was happy to get a copy.

Action 18
You know, it's kind of mind-boggling to think that your Action #18 and my Action #18 once looked identical, back in 1939...
they look about the same to me
You don't work for NeatStuff, by any chance....?

I've added a few books to this lineup.
but still the same old kitchen table.
One more book placed on that old rickety table, and it could all come crashing down. Solution: How about selling me some of those Actions to fund a kitchen table upgrade.

That's a really cool cover. I love the colors on this book. Congrats!

Nice pickup on the MM 36. It's really a different/interesting cover with all the descriptive wording everywhere. Very cool.

Bah, where are the 9.6 graded Timely's dude?
Seriously, what an awesome Timely collection you have. I can't ever single one book out as being better than any other - they're all incredible. High grade + WHITE pages = Thanks for sharing.
-
I saw this book on Clink, and at the price listed I knew it wouldn't last long. Congrats on a nice pickup!
-
Wow, what an awesome selection of books Bedrock. Subby #6 may be my favorite cover of the bunch, but they're all great.
-
Well, since Bangzoom has been showing his collection I doubt anyone is even looking at this thread. But he hasn't shown us any Timelys. So, for those of you going through withdrawal......
Got this at San Diego about 8 years ago from a guy walking around with a little stack of silver age. In the middle was this beauty.
What an awesome copy and I love that cover. It gets much less attention than MM #9 though it continues the classic battle story.
All the Timely's you've shown deserve a

This is still one of my favorite Fox covers.
I agree with the classic designation on this one. Great book, and you don't see WHITE pages on those early Fox books ever.

Tough to find a Supes 17 in ANY shape, so it's a good move to jump on an opportunity. Congrats!
-
Wow GE, so you were the one that picked up the Action 13! Looks a little nicer than a 4.0 too. Congrats on a great find.
-
Awesome collection, especially the Action 13.
A question for the All-American collectors. I notice one issue is missing in the short run that was posted: #23. I don't think I've ever seen a decent copy of #23 for sale (not that I'm actively looking) Does it seems like this book is much harder to find than surrounding issues?
-
At long last!!! After much pomp and circumstance...not to mention...wholesale liquidation fo pre-Robin Tecs...the long wait has PAID OFF!!
........ ........
Congrats, it really doesn't get any better that a TEC 27, a book that most of us could never dream of owning. Incredible book & a fantastic pickup!

Thanks for the comments on my Supes 17 guys.
Stagedoor, you consistently post some of the nicest GA books on these boards. That Supes 14 is awesome.

Here's my copy of Action #19. Although it's low grade, I've been looking for one for a long time so I'm happy to have it.
