  1. What a stunner! Date stamp and everything! I'll take it!
  2. Part of my conversation yesterday when inquiring about new grading standards. This was in response to my question about down graded re-subs. I have a feeling that was just some guy in customer service talking out of his arse because he couldn't give you a better answer. Absolutely, it was just very frustrating to not get an actual answer. Please excuse the tongue in cheek if it didn't translate.

  4. Because I'm a decent 'amateur' grader. Do you consider yourself a professional grader? I am not being a d ick. Curious on your own opinion about yourself. Do you consider yourself a professional d|ck, or is it just natural? Curious, bro.
  5. The difference between a professional and an amateur is that the professional gets paid for their work. How about when a book is resubmitted and it comes back in a lower grade with no new defects introduced? Where does that stand in your opinion? According to cgc customer service it's impossible to resubmit a book without it being damaged while opening the slab. Also, you're exaggerating. Then why in the world would CGC reps be opening them at cons for signatures? $$$

  7. Grade that flaw like they have always graded that flaw, not tighter than they have always graded that flaw. Tight grading isn't the issue, changing grading standards is the issue. +1 million.
  8. +1 Not worth the quicker turn around if the books aren't being graded equally imo
  9. I called to ask if there has been any official change in any policies. Obviously, they wouldn't tell me mess over the phone, which I fully expected. But, it can't hurt to let them know that there have been more unhappy submitter's lately, especially those that can usually get grades spot on.
  10. No dmg while opening the slab? I'm worried about the consistency lately, to say the least. I've never said this in 12 years of submissions but they are brutal the last few weeks. They aren't being inconsistent however, they are being consistently brutal. I just got off the phone with customer service.. "We have heard no such thing, our grading standards haven't changed in years. You can't listen to other dealers about the grades they receive; they all exaggerate. Don't worry, your books will be fine." I think they need to hear from some unhappy customers...

  12. I've been hearing bad things about low grades lately, were all your books undergraded from what you're used to? It scares me to think that the 20 books I have sitting at verified could all come back low because of the current grading trend. It'll be my last sub for awhile if that is the case.
  13. Incredible story, I wonder who got the other 5 (or more).
  14. Decent price for a 9.4 last 9.8 went for $1,765 in Oct-2015; the only copy on ebay right now is $6400 obo
  15. IM55 killed me too. Also happened with ST110, 115, 169. It's gonna be a few years before they come back down a bit.
  16. Just waiting for my Darkseid stuff to return from their vacation in Florida
  17. This has got to be over soon. There's like a million of these clogging my LCS's racks
  18. A couple of copies I had, printing isn't an exact science
