  1. Is your scanner brightening the edges? I've never seen a copy where the title was darker than the rest of the cover
  2. It's a niche, indie title that never really crossed over to the mainstream and has also been reprinted in a ton of different formats - it's basically only the 3 first issues of the very first self-published series that are worth anything. They are worth reading.
  3. Thanks! I can't wait that long, gonna have to catch up now.
  4. 1:100 Adams Joker cover, I'm surprised it's not going for more. First time I've seen it mentioned
  5. That is just awesome! I've been putting off reading eow since about issue 10, I hate waiting between issues so decided to wait and binge it. Sorry if it's mentioned in here already, but have they announced a plan for ending the series yet? Huge fan btw
  6. Just because the auction ended at $2100 doesn't mean the winning bidder actually paid for it.
  7. CGC is a grading company who usually includes information about the book. They are not the decider of what is and what isn't. At the end of the day, all that matters is what you think. I think harry potter is in a comic book
  8. The HP is a full self-contained work and not a little cameo, so I am almost positive this will qualify as 1st app. NYX #3 is CGC 1st app. of X-23 for one full page panel. There's nothing else to call it, really. As for it selling out... yup, it's going fast. Isn't it just one illustration, no story? Same billing as every other work in it. There is art, there is text (Rowling's). If CGC designated "1st stories" rather than 1st apps., would give pause. You donate to a good cause and you get a piece of history. I'm not going to obsess over the particulars... +1 It's a cameo at best. There is not context for a story to be associated with it. You can't really compare it to many other appearances because they are part of a story. I'm just stating that if people are only buying these to have them slabbed, you may not get what you are hoping for. Do you have a pic of the page they appear on?

  10. I'll be happy supporting the cause either way, but I think a monthly hp book could be amazing.
  11. I think there's only one cover, I would expect multiple printings. Midtown
  12. Love finds like this! I still need a copy, wanna double your investment real quick?
