OH AND... I just had to add that it was the worst packing job I ever seen in my life I have no idea how these slabs survived. Someone was saying something about a cereal box in another thread, well these had had one thin layer of bubble rap with brown paper wrapped around it and that is it.
I got a book wrapped in newspaper last week

I have a couple nice Crisis issues if you're looking.

I realize Thanos isn't in them, but there important parts of the forthcoming Thanos saga
Ya they're great books. I highly recommend them if you're reading Warlock.

Had my power go for about 80 hours starting last Saturday afternoon, so I got caught up on a lot of comics I've been meaning to read, but I also had a chance to go back through some philosophy books I've kept around from college.
I remember these 3 well.
The Consolation of Philosophy - Which deals mostly with theodicy, but I believe is still considered Neoplatonism, by those that require labels anyway.
Which is shockingly more pertinent now than when I first read it 15 years ago. I wonder what it will be mean in another 15.
I'll admit that I couldn't stomach much of this antiquated manual of destruction, but the sheer fact that it existed shows how corrupt power creates fear and targets it towards something other than themselves. "Give them an enemy that isn't me."
Replace Witch with Terrorist and this book is scary indeed.

So no love for JSC or Alex Ross covers? I'm guessing that even at 1:50, there were just so many copies ordered that there's way more supply than demand.

I've never read the series and Morrison can go real far out there sometimes that it's hard to reel him back from the negative zone.
How was the series reviewed? I wasn't following moderns much at the time. And it was only a mini? So it would be a one season and done?
Too many questions for me on this one. MCS has tons of copies too.

Outcast is good and the reaction from collectors is weird imo. It went from ultra hot to ice cold. I have a feeling you'll see a resurgence in interest in this series in the near future.
Everyone wanted it to be the walking dead, the same for wytches. I haven't seen the outcast show but the run has been terrific so far!

Realized tonight while rebagging some books that I have owned two Mark Jewelers insert books-- Kid Colt Outlaw 174 & 178 -- since the late 1970s. Also found my 176 had an "8-22" large font style date stamp. Makes me wonder what else I've overlooked on some of my less explored westerns in my collection.
I hear ya, I found a MJ first jubilee last week from a collection I bought eons ago.
What's the date stamp significance? I think I have seen a few.

Maybe they did a second print instead of a new issue when they changed to the new shipping dates? Who was shot calling at the time? The cover is sweet enough to be used twice though, nice eyes

I just sold copies of all 3, and I miss the FF 67 the most, so that's my vote.

I think he was being generous because he asked to undo a trade. And he had buyers for the Dr Stranges. The mid-grade ASM 300 went to work in a trade for some GA with an LCS.
The best thing is we kept the friendship. Since then, he's gotten pre-Hero Marvels, Surfer #1, X-Men #6 from me; I've acquired TOS 41, Batman 232, Strange Tales Ann. 2 from him. Point is, lots of separate subsequent deals, books both ways, that would not have happened otherwise.
This is why I love the hobby, there's tons of great people that are actually passionate collectors and not just out there for the quick flip.
Kudos sir.
As for underwhelming keys, I went after an Avengers 4 and I was stoked to find a nice looking copy for a good price. When it arrived I wasn't really feeling it. I sold it, picked up a rag reader and am perfectly happy. Maybe I thought it would fill the void of my true grail - GA Cap 1... it didn't

As far as I know all the Walmart DC 3 packs are only available at superstores.
Any superstores in Canada? We have 4 Walmarts within a 15 drive, no idea how you tell if it's a superstore
