  1. The story in logans 6 could fit anywhere in the drax/thanos saga, no? I think it's a fine story to show their dynamic, Thanos is a world ending megalomaniac and Drax has no other meaning than to stop Thanos.

It's the most basic story you can conceive about their relationship. Drax is inches from saving the last flower and then Thanos leaves for more destruction elsewhere, while Drax follows.

I'm all more Thanos so I didn't hate it.

As for the Drax cliched lines, doesn't his character only say what's on his mind at all times? Or is that only a gotg thing? His dialogue should be a little cliched at times. 2c

So they note some of the Chamber book but only the cover on the Where Monsters Dwell?  ???

There's a great Ditko Merlin story reprint in Chamber 6, where's the label love?

The cover to WMD7 was originally a Kirby with touch-ups by Marie Severin, do they just not care about Marvel Bronze horror?

1095 / 1092 box in box combo.  Bubble around the slab and a few packing peanuts thrown in on either side of the outside of the smaller box to act as a space filler and bumper within the big box.  I expect the boxes to be thrown around and I want to protect my buyer's purchase.

Some may think that this is overkill but most are appreciative and impressed as the majority of items sent on eBay seem to be sent in whatever was laying around... that could be a cereal box or a dog biscuit box...

BTW... I learned to ship this way after reading the boards.

+1 Box in box, peanuts at the bottom, wrap the slab so that it can't move in the box, more peanuts on top, seal both boxes. If the slab gets damaged like this, it was either run over by a forklift or it was being used as a football in the warehouse.

Never skimp on shipping. As a buyer I would rather you pack a book as bullet proof as you can get, and charge me to do so. At least I know the book will get to me safely.

Literally had an eBayer leave feedback saying it was too hard to open his package.

Just realized... absolute easiest way for them to have an Afterlife Halloween ep. (which entire maincast has stated would be awesome) -> Juggie writing up a quick Afterlife short story for fun.  :applause:

I don't care how they do it: Jughead writing it, dream sequence, Sabrina opens a time portal to an alternate universe Riverdale with zombies and an ugly Grundy and fat Weatherbee. I just want to see what they can pull off with the afterlife comic as source material!`

    Netflix spin-off series? :ohnoez:

I agree Chadwick, the labels seem so empty on the bronze horror books :( --Yes you are right they should give credit to reprinted material, while also indicating material is reprinted. Also they should give credit to the cover artist, as many of these covers were not reprinted, as this cover by Jim Starlin. (shrug)

Anyone know if you can request artists notes when you sub the books? Some slabs state the cover artists if it's a new cover and some don't.

I think the problem is that Adams was more Silver Age to me. If you compare Adams cover work or Deadman stuff to what was going on at the time there just wasn't any comparison. Adams changed the industry with his art style and as previously mentioned he really modernized the industry. The comic industry had never really evolved past it's 1940s inception , when Adams went to DC in the 1960's he was introducing new techniques to DC's color & production department that commercial art had been using for years.

Starlin arrived after the emergence of the late 60s early 1970's explosion. Barry Smith, Berni Wrightson, Howard Chaykin, Mike Ploog, Frank Brunner, etc. had pushed the envelope on comic book storytelling and Starlin hopped right in. His Captain Marvel and Warlock were amazing storylines, but by the time he arrived creators were being given much more freedom to experiment than in the 1960's. Sure, Starlin was a much better writer and storyteller than Adams, but Adams was such a huge influence on artists at that time.

I think they are both insanely talented creators, in the HOF for sure. And it can argue'd about who did what for the industry and who did whatelse, but at the end of the day I gotta go back to the art and these 2 things, for me:

    1) Who did the most iconic covers

    2) Who did the most epic story arcs

They each have great examples in both 2c

I collect both so I'll all good. :busy:

They were sealed apparently, but the seller opened it. I'm actually glad because it saves me from having to make that call. Now I can set up the store display in my nerd room with no guilt. :)

I would agonize about that forever. What a sweet pick up man, huge congrats! I would be stoked!
