Two on my want list I plucked off Ebay today.
I have that Planet Stories on my radar, great pick up!
-
Great! I love this thread! Although it makes me hunt for these great books. Oh well who needs to eat right?
+1 on that, some books make me have a hard time choosing between where my money goes...
-
I have been waiting a while for this un!
-
Oh my precious has finally arrived!
-
Finally took some pictures of my aquisitions over the past year, I am missing a few though:
I want to do proper scans of a few of them, especially the Man O' Mars pair!
-
That Man O' Mars is dreamy Flex, thanks for posting
I have 3 copies, and all have at least 1 major defect , I will post them soon
I have an insatiable want for a high grade of this, but it is very likely you have the best copy in existance!
-
I picked this up a while ago, but never uploaded a pic of it. The first published appearance of Isaac Asimov, and in fantastic condition (There is still some of the shavings from where the pages were cut with the band saw )
-
So much of these books' prices is based on rarity and condition. This seller has not learned this.
Agreed. Most buy the condition, not the book.
-
so sweet of you to gift me that supe 2! i'll send along my address so the book will truly be in "my g.a. pedigree run." yay!!!!!!!!
No pressure woowoo.
I sent you a pic ( they say it lasts longer ) ????
I dunno - my 'puter's pretty brittle these days.
I know, right? I dropped mine out of a 5th story window and *poof!*, It shattered!
-
Mine seems to be in about the same condition as yours, but not as brilliant inks.
I think "Pool of Skeletons" is the best story; genuine pre-code, eh eh!
Congrats on having a nice copy of this book! I never even see low grade copies surface. This really is a scarce book. The "no-frills pch" Tales of Horror run has some tough ones. Is there a Spokane and/or Bethlehem Copy of this book out there? Maybe adamstrange has an answer?
There was no Spokane. There could be a Bethlehem but I don't know one way or another.
This is the nicest copy I've been able to find.
my goodness, what a fantastic looking copy!
-
What a nice copy! I love the stories in the youthful magazines, especially the Captain Science stories
-
SWEET Copy!
+1! (thumbs u
+2 on that
most comics on the newstand don't look that good, which leads me to ask: where did you stash your time machine?!? ::
-
Sartre, your collection always inspires awe!
-
Scuffs are on CGC case. The book looks great.
Beautiful copies! I have a soft spot for Captain Science
-
I think Ingels (Ghastly) is my favorite artist of EC (for Horror, Wood for Sci Fi). His art sends chills down my spine
-
Here's a Dr. Love under copy I was happy to get.
THIS is an undercopy?!
-
I only picked up one book tonight.
That looks WAY better than a 6.0
-
Disturbing, I love it
-
Anything new for the tec27 9.2, or is it probably staying in hiding for now?
-
Yet again ,fantastic job Michael! I always learn something new with your thread here, and how I percieved hinduism was not inline with what it truly is, which you helped clarify for me as of recent.
Thank you
-
(thumbs u He really has been working hard, eh? Hopefully he can be productive now, I think he could be a constructive member if he really wanted to.
-
Congrats Pete!
-
Fantastic thread guys, It got me interested in PCH and I now inhale these stories as fast as I can find them!
-
12 seems to be the mode of the data though, but yea, very inconsistent at best
