  1. I agree it's a stepping stone to gain experience and new opportunities but having someone with power over you like that is terrible I should know because I got fired today!
  2. Good Post, BF. Gabriel, You seem like a good kid who has ambition; however, you are directing that ambition blindly. "Drive" is great, as long as you have an idea of where you are going...no one can "give" you a map, as your destination is not going to be the same as mine, or Person A, or Person B. Stick with what you know, what you feel comfortable with, and what you are good at...until that (Voice Acting) takes off, find a "sure thing" to supplement your income. Once your Voice Acting career takes off (and I hope that it does), you can leave the supplemental income behind. Lastly, if making profit, on comics, were as easy as buying a $100 book and selling it for $1,000, EVERYONE WOULD BE DOING IT. Ron P.S. ALWAYS take the Red Pill. thanks for the kind words but one of my goals in life is to not work a min wag job for the rest of my life and find something that I can learn to do and I decided on three main things comic books, coins and video games I may not know comic books right now but that's what I'm here to learn because having a min wage job for the rest of my life isn't my dream ! Not wanting to work a minimum wage job is a great goal; however, a goal, without a plan, is just a wish. My plan was college...I had to go to a community college, initially, but I was able to work my way up to a university, eventually (some employers will share the cost of tuition with you). You seem to be looking for the easy way out...there is no easy way out. You also seem to be VERY selective on the posts that you read, and answer. Some of these guys, with a LOT more experience than I could every claim to have, have graciously taken their time to try and help you; you should be gracious and receptive, but you have just chosen to ignore everything they have said. Good luck to you, and finding that easy way out. who said I'm looking for the easy way out? it's true that I may not respond to all the posts I see doesn't mean I'm not reading them!
  3. I have amazing spiderman with captain america if that helps!
  4. thanks right now moxy and a cool head is all I got You're a good sport. So many noobs receiving the responses you have received would have already devolved into butthurt, defensive name calling, whining, playing the bullying card, and impending FDQ exit. As far as comics are concerned, we all had to start somewhere whether it be as a reader, collector, or seller, or all three. All kidding aside, best of luck. Just know one thing, if you scam people here or engage in shady buying/selling techniques, you will be figuratively strung up by your intestines. (thumbs u thanks you don't need to worry I'm not here to scam people and can you check my sales thread and see if the image link works? because people are telling me it's not working and yet it's working for me!

  12. haha I feel the opposite. I wish more kids would think it through before starting something up. Remember, the OP didn't come here looking for information, he's advertising his consignment business. His temperament seems reasonable and accepting criticism and advice are very valuable skills, but he has shown that he hasn't really done ANY work yet. I do feel the world needs more young people with entrepreneurial goals, but in today's world EVERYONE has access to all kinds of information, so to start anything without proper research smells at worst like a scam, and at best, a pleasant kid who doesn't get it and has already ruined his chances at ever taking a consignment on these boards. your right I didn't come looking for information when I made that consignment post it came to me and I do read the useful bits of info that people give me here, like I've said before I'm willing to learn what it takes to get to the level that you guys are I know it takes years of experience to do this but I'm willing to work for it and if I can even come close to gators level some day I will be very proud of myself!
  13. thanks I will take people advice give me here, what do you think is off about me?
  14. when you talk about trends what specifically are you talking about? hot comic book issues? popular comics? true and tested comic books?

  17. this may be the biggest fly in the ointment of your business plan. it's one of the factors !
  18. Just hope it makes it til Friday... I still say Roy needs to hire the kid, take him to WW Chicago and how him how a real dealer operates. that'd be cool but I live in Canada! Ah...didn't realize air travel hadn't made it up north... not what I meant I don't have the money to do it is what I should have said!
  19. Just hope it makes it til Friday... I still say Roy needs to hire the kid, take him to WW Chicago and how him how a real dealer operates. He starts small by learning the ropes. First he carries the boxes then in a month he is allowed to assist with the setting up and the breakdown. so who is this Roy person you keep talking about?
