If anyone else is located in Edmonton and looking for Canadian Newsstand Price variants, check out Wizards Comics' University location. They have a ton of high grade Cdn Variants in stock (and more likely to come). How do I know this? They are starting to pull out the bulk of a collection I sold to them three or four years ago that yielded a bunch of 9.8 CDN books for me. (thumbsu

I would be interested but I don't live in Edmonton Kimik. How could I contact them to ask what they have?

Please let them hit that sale price. :wishluck:

Hey, I'm still looking for a copy of 238 (Canadian Edition) if anyone is willing to sell one or trade for some of my own rare Canadian Editions from my private collection :) Just PM me... I'll even pay a finders fee to the person who can find me one in higher grade of course. The copies have a 0.75 cent price cover instead of the .60 cents cover.

I recently purchased a asm 238 9.8, the label says "manufactured with tattooz and insert",  most I see say tattooz inside. Does mine have the tattooz? There are no grader notes saying the tattooz is missing.

That's a good question. If it did not have the tattooz would it not come back with a qualified label? Maybe someone could answer that question. Maybe CGC forgot to write it in their label...that's also a possibility

The market is saturated and it's likely to always be saturated because these are very common books .  I have a long box of the books in your picture.  I can't predict the future but if you can get a decent price now I'd suggest taking it.

I would agree...and if you can't sell, trade with someone on the board for fair value.

I think most people that own CGC 9.8s have the same opinion.  FWIW, 250 copies graded between 9.4 and 9.8 doesn't mean something is rare or that it in anyway represents the actual number of very high grade books out there.  The book is about as rare as Alpha Flight 1.  So, I don't recommend anyone pay the irrational prices for an arbitrary number on the slab.  It's not a good bet.  If you bought a copy a few years ago for $50, that would be a different story.  Just my opinion, though.

    Well reasoned Randall !

  7. Anyone here have a Canadian Edition of ASM 238 in 9.2- 9.8 for sale or trade?

    Fun question:

Considering the Green Goblin has been in a number of Spider-man movies exclusively under a Sony direction, what are the chances of Hobgoblin showing up in a future movie now under a Marvel/Disney direction to change things up a little?

1( SLIM TO NONE) - 10 (FOR SURE)

It's maxed out.  I'm pretty shocked they go for what they do considering there are people that have long boxes in warehouses of these things.  It's incredibly common.2c

Thanks Randal. I'm asking this question because I'm thinking of getting one but hesitant because it's gone up alot the last year or two. I guess if I find someone who is selling a copy at a price that would make both seller and buyer happy I'll go for it :)
