  1. I really like how Marvel incorporates music. Never thought Elton John would make a trailer more epic. Didn't like Ant Man 1 or 2. Nothing wrong about the two movies...but nothing great either. This looks fantastic with the Sci-Fi vibes. ***Just wish they start showing more scenes that emphasize how dangerous Kang is
  2. If anybody has $25 dollars to spare, go pick up a Lego Speed Champion. They are fantastic cars and the build is very fun. If anybody has $300 dollars to spare, go pick up a Lego Technic car (I recommend the Bugatti but all of them are awesome). ***Another fun (but expensive) hobby
  3. Shazaam + Superman fight Black Adam. Don't even need a story. Just a 2 hour boxing match. It'll make a billion dollars. ***The reviews don't looks so hot so far
  4. Black Adam seems like a movie where it is building up The Rock brand. I like Duane Johnson. He seems like a genuinely good dude from all I've read about him. I think it is the fact that he's pushing the movie as he's the savior of the DCEU...Black Adam is the new apex of power, he made Henry Cavil possible, etc. If Black Adam does save the DCEU then all the credit goes his way. But if it doesn't... Here's the defense of Ezra Miller...I really liked his introduction in the Justice League when Bruce Wayne was recruiting him. Great scene and I really felt sorry for him when he said "I need friends"... ***He was/is a great Flash
  5. Yeah, the proportions look off. Plus it is just a bad looking picture/poster. I keep coming back to this...have Jim Lee draw the movie poster! It would be an instant collector piece and great advertising. ***Something about this movie seems off (I can't put my finger on it)
  6. No no no. If you've seen the animated series where Hulk/Wolverine took on Deadpool/Sabretooth/Deathstrike...Deadpool was full of joke and sarcasm while Wolverine was all serious. My point is that they don't both have to be comedic. You can have one serious (Old Man Logan) with the comedy of Deadpool and still make it work. This was what they tried with Cable/Deadpool but failed. I think they can still make that concept work. ***Just don't want to see Wolverines intro to the MCU be a comedy
  7. Is anybody else worried that this will be a Thor: Love and Thunder joke fest? I don't want to see Old Man Logan be a comedy team up. I stop being optimistic for anything MCU until I see it. ***I hope Kang erases phase 4
  8. No joke, I didn't realize this movie was opening yesterday until I saw a commercial (yesterday). I haven't seen reviews pop up on my suggestions or even random ads on sites I visit. ***I still haven't even made the effort to find out more
  9. I think it's obvious that the showrunners have been reading my posts. You're welcome. ***I can't wait for the full out war
  10. That was a surprisingly somewhat positive review. "Surprising" because of the failure at the box office and I haven't heard much about this movie. Still not going to see it in theatres but I'll give it a try once it hits TV. ***Didn't even realize what this movie was about until now
  11. It looks like Marvel is going to go with people they know when it comes to directing. I can't say if this is the correct course of action since they have found success with "new" and "MCU" directors. ***I guess they want people who will stick to the MCU formula for these huge movies
  12. Oh c'mon!!! Isn't it obvious what her Marvel project is. Let me Kevin Bacon this... - She got a divorce from Jason Sudeikis - Coupled up with Harry Styles - Harry Styles plays Starfox in The Eternals - There's an Eternals II (rumored) to be coming So...she's making a Disney+ Starfox series ***You heard it here first
  13. Great first episode. They did a very good job a laying the foundation and helping people who never saw GOT (however few that may be) a good starting point without being completely lost. Characters looked great. Dragons looked great. Stayed fairly honest to the book. ***Looking forward to the next episode
  14. I've heard all the worries/concerns about this show. Some legitimate and some pretty stupid. People picking apart the trailer, the "super fan" event, not being true to Tolkien's story, etc... ...but I draw the line here: If Tom Bombadil doesn't show up in the show I'm going to give it a 0/100 rating. ***He's old as dirt
  15. Um, you forgot to include the best one... ***Greatest comic book poster ever (Wolverine, Archangel, and Cable "wanted" poster)
  16. Prey has the biggest premier on Hulu. Wait for it...it beat The Kardashians. ***Hulu seems pretty successful with shows/movies about monsters trying to destroy the human race
  17. I'm calling it, the next Predator movie... - Roman gladiators escaping - They're on the run being hunted by the Roman army - The female Predator joins the hunt ***Bam...a billion dollars if they release it in theaters
  18. What about the dog? Did you like the dog at least??? ***Or the brother...he was a very good character
  19. Having now seen it, my official opinion...great entertaining movie and did the franchise justice. I hope the actors get more movie roles because of it. It is now my second favorite Predator movie. I'm not going to question anybody's opinion since it is their own...but I don't see how anybody can say it is better than the original (unless they only saw it recently and never got a chance to enjoy the initial "WTF" moment when the Predator was first revealed)... - or the moment they mowed down the jungle with 1000's of rounds of ammo - or the first moment you heard the "gggrrrr" - or the first moment you saw the heat signature - or the "we're all gonna die" line - or the "it bleeds we can kill it" line - or "get to the choppa" line - or "I ain't got time to bleed" line - or Billy making his final stand - or Dillon redeeming himself - or finding Hawkin's body Prey is a fantastic movie. It just lacks the memorable moments that will last for years to come like the original. ***Prey...solid 75/100. The original is a 95/100.
  20. So I've heard this several times now. Before saying anything else I'd like to point out that I have not yet seen "Prey" and will do it this weekend when I visit my friend (I don't have Hulu). BUTT... ...No, saying it is better than Predator 1 is not allowed. It is OG. It is what launched the franchise. ***Acceptable answer..."as good" or "second best"
  21. I know this is already stated in this thread. But for anybody who doesn't want to read through pages and pages of posts...the answer to why Batgirl was canceled all summed up in a nice little video... ***Hint...it wasn't because of "woke" culture
  22. This. It has always been this. Which I have no qualms with. It's his creation. Plus he has been very successful at doing comics and launching a toy line. So there's no reason for him to think he couldn't create a successful Spawn movie. ***But I always tamper my excitement whenever rumors of a Spawn movie is coming because of this
  23. True. But I put the blame on the franchise. Plus I have lowered my bar significantly in expectations. So a lull in the story isn't going to disappoint me. I'm not asking for much... - A decent looking Predator (doesn't have to be great) - Good story (doesn't have to be great) - A few moments where I can say "cool" - Good acting (doesn't have to be Oscar worthy) - Violence and body count (doesn't have to be graphic or over the top) - Lots of macho/primal/manly (in this case womanly) scenes ***Just a good popcorn movie
  24. ...oh lawd. I can't believe I'm saying this but it looks fantastic and I'm actually excited. Looks like they are going back to the roots of the movie and just replacing Dutch with an Indian woman. I keep falling for this trap. ***I hate myself because I know I'm going to be disappointed
