  1. He was my favorite character in Justice League. Very likeable. So obviously the guy can act. I've read stories on Ezra Miller, Letitia Wright, Evangeline Lilly, Amber Heard, etc...all crazy or difficult. I don't know what the screening process is but you would think studios would do some investigating before committing to an actor/actress on a multi-movie deal. ***Same with directors...Whedon (eh-hem)
  2. Already went on this rant when custom labels were introduced. ***No more rant to give
  3. Linda Kozlowski...one of the sexiest non-nude scenes of all time. That is all. ***Back on topic
  4. Agree 100%. But Keven Smith seems like a guy who feels bad about thinking ill of anybody. If that lets him clear his conscience by letting past grievances go then good for him. ***Saw Pulp Fiction again a few nights ago...Boootch
  5. When I saw that my first thought was "he's going to be an alternate version of Dr. Strange?!?!?!". But if he brings the boomstick and takes on Zombie Strange this movie will make 5 billion dollars! ***If this is just a taste of surprise cameos...
  6. Yeah, most of the reviews I've seen are pretty harsh...except Grace. She liked it. But most of the reviewers I watch where my taste aligns to a majority of their picks had nothing but negative things to say about it. ***I'll see what the general public says after the weekend but doesn't look good
  7. Honestly, I do enjoy a good argument now and then. If somebody is willing to go at it then so am I. However, I do admit that it's gotten worse the past couple of years (not just on this forum but everywhere). The pandemic and political environment surely didn't help. But I'll echo a previous post...it's confined to the comic general section and the rest of the areas are actually very helpful/enjoyable. ***As long as it doesn't start seeping into the Sales area...
  8. So I just watch a spoiler free review for the first episode. They said it was confusing and viewers needs to have patience as the future episodes will (hopefully) make things more clear. I understand Moon Knight isn't the typical superhero and might not be easy for some to understand. So if there is ONE concern...I really hope this doesn't get as complicated as Legion. That's a show I couldn't wrap my head around even after giving it multiple chances. ***BTW...I never understood the "Batman of the Marvel universe"
  9. hahahaha fair enough. For me personally, I was shocked this morning to see that it is no longer #1. I haven't seen Lost City so I can't comment on if it is a good/bad movie...just not a movie that caught my interest. Not saying if Batman is a success or not...just surprise that it lost the spot so quickly...to the Lost City. ***I'll check out the Lost City when it is free on TV
  10. Have you seen Casablanca? Considered one of the greatest movie of all time but if you watch it today the acting is actually pretty bad. My point...not a fair comparison when we compare historical events/items/etc. and base it on the current standard. There are some stories/topics now that could not be addressed back then. In addition, comics now are expanded to a different age group. I don't disagree with the statement but we are saying apples are better than oranges. ***Look at the ads in comics...even those were cheesy compared to now
  11. Honest question cause I'm actually curious...any shock/surprise that this movie got knocked out of the #1 spot so quickly? ***The Lost City...
  12. Last time I checked a Spawn #1 newsstand is going for about $800 - $1000. The Spawn series has some of the hardest books to find and a lot of collectors looking for them (anybody find a newsstand copy of the book in my sig hit me up). For a non-Marvel/DC book it's doing pretty good in terms of longevity and collectability. ***Or wait for a decent Spawn movie and watch the price explode
  13. Got a chance to purchase two books and the transaction was fantastic. Communication, pricing, shipping...everything was top notch. Will definitely purchase from Mike again. ***Let me plug his webpage while I'm at it...www.SellingComics.com
  14. The movie was very good. All the characters were very well done (specifically Penguin). I'm assuming there will be a trilogy and look forward to seeing it all. Few points... - I still wouldn't put it above the Ledger movie - I wasn't a fan of the Riddler costume (although the character overall was great) - Bruce Wayne and Batman alter ego was too similar (I really liked how Bale differentiated the two) - I hope the next movie brings in Hush or Azrael (which likely wont' happen but I'd like to see a "new" character) ***Overall...80/100
  15. My only question is if it will be this kind of atmosphere throughout the shows run. Love it. ***Option for those who aren't in the Ms. Marvel demographic
  16. I liked it. Put a smile on my face. I like the "comic book" additions at the beginning (reminds me of Into The Spiderverse). The song was great. It's definitely focused on a specific demographic of pre-teen females. But I'm not gonna pass up the first few episodes to see what it's all about. ***Adds some variety/options to D+
  17. Tah-tonk-cah... I had zero interest in Echo. But I like his character in Dances With Wolves so much that now I have about 5% interest in it. ***Still watch DWW whenever it shows up on TV
  18. No problem with the change. I have a problem with the design. But put it to the hands of the right artist (somebody like Jim Lee...yes, I know he no longer works for Marvel) they can make anything look good. ***As to why they did it...how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?
  19. 1. Grade (9.8 minimum is a must since that makes up 95% of my collection...but there are some books I love that I can't afford in that grade...ie Jimmy Olsen #134) 2. Label color...Blue and Yellow (No purple, no green, etc.) 3. Grader (CGC or CBCS...everybody else gets a bit sketchy) 4. Wrap and page color (both tied...there's a limit to how crooked a book can be and no modern book should be less than white) 5. Pressing (another situation where it depends but I like my book ole natural) 6. Holder condition (I guess that's the purpose of putting it in plastic...to take the scratches instead of the book) 7. Pedigree, custom label, holder version (makes no impact on my decision at all) ***I do like the thinner holders over the thicker ones but that's just preference
  20. I'm still holding out for a legit X-Force team that is led by Cable. There's still a chance. ***I gave up on New Mutants
  21. I cannot agree more with this entire statement. Very few people bring up Predators...fun, doesn't require much thinking, and I really like Adrien Brody in that role. ***I can't believe Shane Black (of all people) could mess up a Predator movie so badly
  22. Endgame gave me some of the best times I had at the movies. We're talking pure entertainment. When did these other "better" superhero movies make you cheer and cry at the movies? Maybe it didn't for you two but I'm talking about the general movie goer... - When Captain America picked up Thor's hammer - When Sam said "To your left" and the portals started to open - When Captain Marvel entered the atmosphere - Death of Iron Man (first time I teared up since Optimus Prime died) ***Back on topic...definitely seeing Batman
  23. Agree. But we're discussing entertainment on a comic book forum. If this was about solving world hunger "reasonable, rational, and well thought-out" opinions would be more important. Now if somebody said the best Catwoman is Halle Berry...then that's a different story. ***I like Endgame
  24. You know what they say about a-holes...everybody has one. ***Apologies to anybody who doesn't have one
