  3. While its not in my hands yet, currently being shipped. Im just a bit to excited to not share my newest pick up. Long lives the dream of a 9.8 volume 1 set.
  4. Who is this Doug? And we're can I buy his turtle books
  5. Nice pick up I've been looking for the Donatello and Michelangelo #1s in 9.8 for some time.
  6. anyone have an example of a slabed book in a m2s 914s vs.arklites2. Actually any picture would help just wanted to see how they look like front and back before I commit to ordering a stack for the collection.
  7. From the way the boardie who posted a video... Referencing his "gold turtlemania" he is either on the run from the law and we will never see it... Or we will never see it... So what you're saying is he went full Pablo Escobar on us
  8. Sweet find regardless.. wish my antique mall finds were of this caliber.
  9. Bumping this post since the 5K numbers are a tad deceiving... That's a lot of variants assuming the 5318 are all covers a/b. I had imagined a number closer to 1k for all the variants combined. That's unlikely that all the variants only = 1K given there was 7+ variants. the 10K mark makes a lot of sense if that number doesn't include store variants and I believe Larry said overseas #s as well somewhere.
  10. Another NYCC, and more sadness for me. Jealous NYCC is so much more then Toronto Fanexpo or Toronto comicon.
  11. not feeling the fact this thread dropped to page 3.... so bump #7 was great and you know what they say onward and upward with this series.
  12. Those census numbers are pretty high for mid-run volume 1 books. 3 Bidders...though one dropped out very early. I don't get it. My gut reaction tells me it's price manipulation, but I've got nothing to back that up. Mysterious. If it is legitimate, congrats to the buyer! If you look at the full bid data (including automatic bids) it doesn't look like price manipulation. 441 (the winner) and 41 went at it in "large" increments (10+ dollars at a time) in terms of auto bids near the end. Usually a shiller slow walks the price up in small amounts (a dollar or two at a time) My gut tells me two people who wanted a 9.8 bid really hard at it. I agree...it definitely doesn't look like typical shill bidding. I just can't wrap my mind around why this particular issue (though part of a great story with incredible art) would have jumped so high in price all of a sudden. Almost makes me want to list my copies. Almost. I was the 41.... I wanted it, realized I was getting outbid, and went my max max (196 and didn't think it was going to go that high) and somehow still lost. Quite honestly I'm surprised how much it went for I figured 100 tops. in a fit of sadness I then bought the 8.5 Raphael.
  13. Delay is not due to Diamond, it stemmed from working out some challenges with a special order that did not happen. We held the print run for as long as we could in an attempt to satisfy all exclusive requests and did our best. Hope this doesn't happen again. If Loot Crate doesn't have their stuff together its their loss. I just want some Enormous on a schedule. I disagree, if it was a service like Loot Crate, that would be a huge opportunity for Enormous, and it would definitely get in new readers, which is the ultimate goal. In the end a 3 week delay is nothing to the potential long term gain something like that would provide the series. If it was mid arch that's a different story, but this was a launch of a new "season" so really no harm and don't blame Tim one bit for holding print as long as he could to make it happen.
  14. Must be Diamond... and might even be a bigger job then this
  15. http://comicsheatingup.net/2015/07/07/variant-envy-enormous-7-hoknes-comics-variants/#more-9389 This sadly might be the variants that breaks the completest back of mine. #7 now has more variant covers then there are issues in the series, not bad thing per say just might be to much for me to invest in for completion. Standard retailer issues it is for me
  16. Bump for big news incoming... Also that sneak peak is fantastic!
  17. Slowly starting my collection This was the first instalment. First prints of 2,3&4 in 9.8 are in the mail as we speak
  18. I'm just going to say that would be my two worlds crashing together in a form of AWESOME. If its happen please make sure its PS4
  19. I'm not a speculator and have never been a speculator. I only compare it to Sixth Gun because it was very popular here for a while but once the TV stuff happened, the thread vanished. I've heard the book is good though. I couldn't disagree with you more about it being better than stuff coming out from the big two. Batman? Star Wars? Darth Vader? Daredevil? Hawkeye? I read a few issues of Enormous and even picked up the treasury edition (I only happened to stumble on a copy at my LCS). Artistically it was really neat, but story wise it was a mess. The story didn't seam tight enough and felt scattered. I like stories of characters, and there wasn't a person I cared about in Enormous. Add on top of that the erratic schedule and the difficulty with finding the book, and I was out. I actually switched LCSs a while back, and I noticed they were actually successful in getting copies. I think they sit on his rack though. This is a speculators book being driven by the variant market, pretty art, and the hope of a TV show. So basically you don't like the book...you could have just said that instead of telling us all these "facts" about how this book is bought. Definately doesn't like it... I think he secretly likes it but can admit it to himself
  20. #1 DCBS Variant (thumbs u That's a neat covers graphic. Offhand I don't remember the fast food cover (third row, third from left). I think that's #12 is my guess and what's third row far right (that's the one I meant to say, clearly I can't communicate today)?
