  1. Nice books, Greggy! Have you noticed that the .50 & .60 cent issues turn up more often, in varying grades, than the .25 cent issues? Seems to me to be the case.
  2. You're right, Shep,....these .25 cent books don't turn up often. I would put it toward collector apathy, as Big5 collectors don't turn loose their books very much.
  3. Nice pick up, Puny!!! The mouse-chew doesn't look all that bad, either!
  4. It's really amazing how Ian's child-like petulance is quickly causing any goodwill to dissipate, isn't it? I keep telling myself to separate the achievement from the person. Well, it would help if the "person" could seperate himself from the achievement! Or not,..... I feel your pain!
  5. All you have to do is say "Arnold" three times, and he appears. Or, you can just start a thread titled "The Trouble with the Overstreet Guide is,.."!!! I love you like a half-brother, twice removed,....Arnold.
  6. and it was amatuer color touch, thus the bleed-thru. Professional slight color touch wouldn't be so bad.
  7. You certainly got that right. And the Inferior Five too. Now, don't go knocking the Inferior Five!
  8. Didn't POV pick up one of these at SD CON? Someone go wake up the Gimp!
  9. I'd say its worth at least $1,000! An attempt to manipulate the maket,...?!?
  10. You might be a king or a little street sweeper, but sooner or later you'll dance with the reaper. Yep, and I'll do it like this >>>>> !!!
  11. Look, Ian got his own troll. And he's got an attitude, too!
  12. What was the cheapest copy going for? $10 bills? Remember the one with the three-ring binder holes? It was a retored F/VF for $28,000.00 (owner sayed he could do better). Harley's were $35,000.00 & $38,000.00 I only looked/asked about those three. I want one! Maybe one day,... MARVEL #1 is a grail for me. I think the only way I could ever get one at this point would be to trade my whole collection for it, and even then it would be a low grade copy. But I can dream. I'd have no shame in buying a fair copy that would have restoration potential. If it would end up close to VG or even VG/F when it's all said & done.
  13. You should just send Arnold a PM,.....EVERYDAY,.. until he's willing to do your bidding! Have him lower the prices on Timely's while you're at it.

  15. Harley Yee had two Marvel Comics # 1's, one was Oct. and one Nov. I saw around 7 or 8 copies,....without even going by Metropolis' booth.
  16. Pov wanted to buy an Eerie #1 and spoke with me about this. I told him I was certain we could find one or two. He thought I was joking with him, but you usually can find 2-3 at a major convention. It is a great book, love the cover art! You didn;t say one or two. You said two or three. Cause I had already seen one before even hitting the rest of the floor, you floor flushing floozie! Yeah, you already saw one,...but you didn't see the "CT" notation on the price label till I pounted it out to you!

  19. That's a book I've not really had on my radar, so I'm not going to comment on it. Perhaps Pov would have more experience on this.
  20. EERIE # 1 is more common than the 50's Phantom Strangers or Yellow Claws, which are Gerber 6's. I'd give it a Gerber 5 rating myself.
  21. My favorite one of the bunch,...a Classic !
