  1. So is Goldust. Only one I've seen (not that I've been looking) was sold by Heritage in 3/02. $12,650 including the juice, which means it went for 4 X 2002 OS. Ah well, it is a truly scarce book. Wonder who won it?? Probably the same guy who has every other copy of FANTASTIC #3(except for the two owned by Jon Berk!). Yeah, I know, it was a rhetorical question. Anyone here know Jon Berk, and whether he might part with one of his two copies??? You can always PM him and ask, he's jbcomicbox. I PM'd him once that he had gotten me interested in collecting Amazing-Man Comics by Everett, I was only missing two issues,.......Jon sold me an extra he had. Now I'm just down to one issue left.
  2. is it just me or does ol Supes look a little TOO happy to run into that cute little lost boy hitching a ride home? ,.....in a perverted kind of way. Sure "turned his head"!
  3. It's like watching a train wreck in slow motion: you can't look away! As sad as the first post was,......and it was a very sad story, I still want to hear all the details. Hopefully there is a "Special Place in Hell" reserved for Mr. Ross! Please continue,.......
  4. Dang!!! Gerry Ross makes Comickeys look like a Twinkie dealer!
  5. sterlingcomics, I hope you'll continue to contribute to this thread!
  6. Did he make it home alright?!? Anyone want to go check see if his picture's on any Milk Cartons?!?
  7. Sure would like to see some more Centaur's !! Buy some. They are pretty cool. If they are cheap enough, I may have to check them out. They are VERY cool,...and affordable. Remeber, Overstreet bases the value of books according to recent sales; Centaurs are somewhat scarce & don't change hands all that often, thereby keeping the values relatively low. They are very collectible! AND YOU SHOULD BUY SOME,.....you geezer!!!
  8. Bump a classic thread, ....while you're waiting.
  9. Sure would like to see some more Centaur's !!
  10. Be sure to write to: Henry C. Travis, 3rd 638 Hamilton Street, NW Washington, DC ....and ask him WHY he had to put his address stamp on every single page of that book?!? Better yet, send Esquirecomics over to his house!!!
  11. This one took me 2 years to find,....over-graded and over-priced, I bought it anyway. Millie the Model # 2 (Millie dresses as the Blonde Phantom to sell B.P. Perfume. Before All-Select apperance).
  12. Looks like mechanical implants to me. Are these organic or silicon?
  13. Happy 8000th, Donut, and thanks for sharing the Fiction Houses!
  14. And I have suspicion that if a certain someone would get out his camera and post some more, we'd be equally impressed with his comics.
  15. Now, I know this is not one of the earlest war covers, but I don't think Mark will mind me posting it. Uncle Sam prepares to open up a "Tall-boy can of whoop-a$$" in Remember Pearl Harbor.
