Book might never be opened again in our lifetime.That book shouldn't ever be opened with those staples! Still, almost wish that CGC (and the collecting community) wasn't so sensitive to "CONSERVATION" (i.e. not restoration) and allow a great book like that to get NEW staples. In this case, I agree with you 100%! The really sad things are (1) That book should never have gotten the grade it got with those staples and (2) Replacing the staples to conserve that book should be appreciated, not looked down on! Complete shame, all the way around!

Here's a really nice book for sale at my LCS. Great WWII cover! And "NO", the tape & stickers are not on the comic, the scan is with the comic bagged. Just a really great Uncle Sam cover though!

For those of you who are Wrightson collectors: Yesturday I was rummaging through some issues of DC's "Plop" comics. While it is intended to be a humor comic, I noticed a true Wrightson horror story in the back of issue # 5. Just thought I'd mention it, in case someone was interested.
