Secret Agent X - February 1934 (Ace) Condition: VG+. First issue. Restoration includes spine re-glued.

This one is a stand out in that the cover is crudely drawn, unlike most other Saucy Movie Tales covers, but that might also explain why it is so impossible to find. Saucy Movie Tales - August 1937 (Movie Digest) Condition: FN-. "Good girl"/bondage cover. Bookery's lists as "rare", and this is the first copy we've encountered. Has a 1.5" tear to the upper left corner of the front cover.

Finally back for the rest. Doctor Death - March 1935 (Dell) Condition: GD/VG. Second issue. Classic cover by Rudolph Zirn. Bookery's lists as "scarce", and this is one of three we've encountered. Tape on first page and interior of front cover. Brittle pages.

Coolio, just wanted to make sure. I've got 16 pulps listed in this auction. I'll start with the big boy, Weird Tales December 1932 graded Fine- 1st Conan. Really bright reds and the spine does not suffer from fading like I've seen on others. Small pin-hole punch top right of front cover just above the .25c.

I have some of my pulp collection going up on the Heritage January 12-13 Comics & Comic Art Signature Auction #7338. Would anyone like to see them, or is this forbidden? Bidding starts around December 23rd and ends January 12-13, 2023.

I agree, it was the main question I had running through my mind as I read the first post.

Exactly. I could see them ending even, but to pull ahead of the first appearance took me by surprise. The cover on V4 #1 is a well drafted cover, I really liked that one (I also really appreciated my two last 2 Airman covers from Keen Detective; thought those were exceptional covers for their time.)

I believe I was around 55-60% of the way there. I remember passing 50%, but it slowed down there. I was thinking about back then, it was spotty finding a Centaur most anytime, but finding them in the wild now must be pretty tough.

Thank you! I am very happy with where I am at this point, still have items ending this evening, Monday & Tuesday too. I think my biggest surprise was that the 1st appearance of the arrow was eclipsed by the cover of Funny Pages V4 #1. That one surprised me.

I ordered the ASM & FF copies. I've gotten confirmation of both of them shipping and the carrier has the items in their possession. December 6th-12th delivery window. Whoot!

I'm glad about that, I didn't originally plan to be this close to Christmas when I first set out my plan. This auction I have books closing just about each night for the next 7 days. It's not stressing me out, but I do hope to hit a certain level when its all said and done.

I'm satisfied with where it landed. I told my Comiclink rep I thought it was a $15k to $20K book. He said he thought it was a $20k to $25k book. I was hoping he was right, but it didn't break $20k. Oh well, it did just fine anyway. I at least got the higher end of my estimate.
