  1. My Economy submission from 6/5 is still sitting at received
  2. Most every local con I've gone to I've enjoyed and even if I didn't enjoy it I'm only out give or take $3-10. The problem I have is the huge cons that have outlandish prices. It gives a bad first impression to many young collectors. I feel comics should be a hobby that's accessible to everyone but I think it has been gravitating away from that for the past decade. No one should have to pay 5.99 for a mediocre book on cheap paper. The big 2 are more concerned with their bottom line but in the process they ostracize their true collectors and future readers. I've been reading more Valiant, Image, and Indie titles the past few years and I hope the hobby starts moving more in that direction..
  3. Bob bought a book from me recently and paid lightning fast. A pleasure to do business with!
  4. Avengers #4 for me but I wouldn't consider either of these books a loser..
  5. Won 4 books total last night. 3 that I was interested in and one that was going to be mine no matter the price..
  6. I put up a fight for that Cannonball Comics #1 6.0 Congrats to the winner..
  7. I personally have found the opposite to be true. The last 12 months have been amazing as far as buying collections. I've found two collections in that time period that consisted mainly of silver and golden age books. The one collection the owner thought silver age was the only group of books that held any type of value. He literally gave me 3 long boxes full of premium golden age that he referred to as 'the junk.' He based all of his prices off eBay so 95% of the golden age he couldn't even find on there so he thought it was worthless. They are definitely still out there..
  8. Amazing Spider-Man 300 x3 - the shop I used to go to when I was a kid had a buy 3 special going on and I couldn't find a book I liked more at the time so 3 copies of Spidey 300 it was..

PMs are welcome even if it's just to say hi THANK YOU! Astonishing #4 1951 5.5/6.0 $500 SOLD!!! Nicely presenting copy but has a small ink line across the front. I tried to provide close up pictures to show the line a little better. There is a small dot of bleeding through the front cover. A 6.0 copy just sold for $1,100 on Comiclink this week. I'm asking less than half of that for this copy.
  10. I was the under bidder on that book. I've never seen a Mark Jewelers 9.8 copy for sale. I thought my bid would take it down. I guess not..
  11. Thanks Lethal. I just saw it and had to have it. I've seen the cover in pictures before but my goodness the colors pop in person! Makes me want to pick up some of Campbells other books now..
