  1. i didn't go , i was just happy the small cons are starting to come back ... we need to get back to normal ....
  2. good luck with the PXG cross over, hope you don't roll snake eyes
  3. i'm taking a break from buying these days but i still have a collectors mentality so to satisfy the collecting urge i have started to save and collect all my one dollar bills , i started when the shut down happened in March and i have about $800 in ones so far , i actually like it when i buy something and it cost $5.33 cause i give them a ten and get four ones back !! then i have to fold all the corners out and flatten them out under books and a barbell, it's actually a fun hobby ! i have gotten a couple "where's George" dollar bills and looked up where they came from (both from cities nearby) every day i rearrange my stack and flatten them out some more ,one would be surprised at how many $1 bills have numbers or writing on them.... i cull my real badly worn, taped or torn bills and spend those.... i'm thinking of sorting them into Federal reserve series (A thru H..) it's a decent hobby with a lot of the aspects of other collectibles, i think about it just like i did when i was collecting a run of comics, and the best thing is that while my hobby/collection will not increase in value it will hold it's value and has nearly instantly liquidity when it comes time to sell my collection !!!!!!
  4. send key comic to CGC , get it pressed and cleaned , will look great , should be a CGC 4.5 or hopefully better
  5. a slight sign of hope during the covid ,,,small comic book shows are slowly coming back ....
  6. wow , i pretty much thought that Kalamazoo was a well known name among America, along with Battle Creek , probably the younger people don't know it as well as older people as schools today and in person social skills are not anything like they once were
  7. Nostalgia Ink (inc ?) had a different owner at a different location in Jackson maybe even a different name but i can't remember , a wonderful store that i would drive down to from Lansing .... he had great back issue selection in nice grades and would give a nice volume discount , he sold the store to another comic person but i think he kept most of his best stock to do shows... last time i went five years ago the new store had almost all modern stuff 1990-on with almost nothing before,... but from your photo it looks like the store has moved to a new location it sound as if maybe the previous owner still works there, maybe as an employee now ? , because of the $50 book you got for $10 !!
  8. it's still there but the shutdown almost did owner Ray Walsh in.... i think they may have done a go fund me ... back in the mid 70's Curious books is where i got all my back issue comics , many that i still have today they have very few comics anymore. i heard he sold his entire stock to Harley a long time ago they have a great selection of books and magazines though... three floors full
  9. the true value is more like 50 cents...
  10. thanks for linking the very interesting article to read...
  11. did the story have anything to do with the cover ?
  12. VG/ fine range and worthy of a $10 quick press if you submit to CGC
  13. super faded out , which is a deal killer for me .... definitely left in a place where the sun bleached it out real bad i couldn't even consider it more than a VG at this point ....
  14. poor condition but worth of a CGC slab and grade to help preserve it and make it look better !!
