Hi electricprune my registry set will never win any major CGC award as it is not high grade , but it is complete and i did put my heart and soul into it to making it nice with pictures and descriptions of every book, plus i live in Lansing so i can get a package to you quickly ! Gettysburg Set Type: Our Army At War #1 - #80 Owner: 1950's war comics Last Modified: 6/4/2015 Views: 834 SET DESCRIPTION: DC golden/silver age war, one of the DC BIG FIVE war issues. Trying to achieve a goal of 100% graded completion, it has a mixture of lower to mid grade and with a few nicer ones thrown in. Please enjoy looking at a first time attempt at a larger CGC graded run of issues, and some of the most colorful and best covers of early DC war. Update 04/15 this set has been so much fun searching for, filling holes, getting them graded and then adding to the registry that I almost want to do it all over again ! 85% of this set was purchased raw and submitted for grading, most of these from Ebay, some from the Motor City Comic Con and the remainder were bought already graded from various web sites, auction houses and the CGC boards

(verse two) their house looks like a museum it smells like petrified bm they all like to scream the addams family..... -

Anyone Else Notice A Major Slowdown in the Mail?
1950's war comics replied to Key Largo Comics's topic in Comics General
The USPS is under extremely challenging times these days , although letter delivery has dropped to near nothing, parcel delivery has exploded.. but still not enough to pay the bills... the USPS is saddled with an enormous legacy cost which could have easily been bailed out if not for the virus, heck i heard the post office is 7 billion in debt , .. well we just printed 3000 billion (1000 billion= 1 trillion) so the paltry 7 billion of post office debt should have been eliminated so we could have that important Govt entity solvent and back on it's feet ! also the post office has basically stopped hiring career employees, they only hire part time or temp workers which receive probably half the benefits and wages as full time and no pension not much motivation to do a good job when you are working side by side with an older employee who makes twice as much as you do for doing the same thing .. -
Anyone Else Notice A Major Slowdown in the Mail?
1950's war comics replied to Key Largo Comics's topic in Comics General
i grew up when back in the day mail always took much longer ,... sometimes it took six months to get something from a catalog ,... but it always finally showed up !! today's "instant gratification" crowd need to realize,.. and they will realize when they get older that one month is not a long time.. neither is two months ... i wish that it were true that one month is a long time but it is not , it is a very brief period and it flies by .... -
i think the best ones are the tubs you have to order from school kids funding their field trips ... those cookie tubs are expensive but high quality , !! plus when you bake them , you can take them out of the oven while they are still gooey and eat them hot along with a half gallon of milk ! other slice & dice cookie rolls at most stores are nothing really special but not to bad and will satisfy a crave... most decent sized cities have a chain cookie store these days and many of them even deliver ! we have one like that called "Insomnia Cookie" believe it or not "Chips Ahoy" are still a really good cookie ! i actually don't buy them anymore because when i do i eat almost the whole bag in just two days , one sleeve the first day and the other sleeve the next ... (along with a gallon of milk)
