  1. one of my grails someday is a decent looking Catherine Ruble
  2. saw this great horror cover in another posts and had to post it here ...
  3. a Creature Tiki mug for the horror collector who has room for everything .... (or likes to drink Mai Tai's in style )
  4. you could go to Mycomicshop.com and start looking at all the covers during the time period yoo remember , they have cover photo's of every comic , maybe the front cover will spark your memory.... cigar chomping soldier sound like Sgt Fury or Dum Dum
  5. Wow i didn't know TAT's were that for out in the future these days...
  6. so a seller of that item has to scrape off all the rust first and maintain it until it sells right ? wow too much work
  7. wow thats work .. sort of like a salt water fish tank ... cool looking rock though !!!
  8. they already caught one shill and now another one pops up ... when you have shills defending one side of a debate then it's easy to tell which side is right
  9. sorry i do not agree , you may be talking about 5% of the people , because 95% of the people who slab comics want their investment to increase and the profit they would have made had they followed my advice would have funded their hobby for a LONG time !! the pm's i received far out weigh the comments like yours
  10. looks like a banana at first glance , oh and by the way a banana taped to a wall did sell for 200k in some fancy modern art museum
  11. bought this Starter jacket back in 88 when the great Larry Bird was still playing .. wore it forever ! but now it's become a collectible so i don't wear it anymore ...
  12. not really a ridiculous panel.. just the first appearance of J Jonah Jameson (bottom right corner panel)
  13. to the shill whose post was removed who mentioned when i first joined the boards i was against slabbing moderns you know i'm glad you brought that up... when i first joined 5 1/2 years ago i urged people not to buy and slab modern comics but to buy older nice GA/SA to slab instead... i stopped giving that advice shortly after joining because of the hate and grief i was receiving but some of the establishment brings it up regularly and has never forgotten , but what they never mention is that in the last 5 years those GA/SA keys, romance , war, first appearances, classic covers and all great artists like LBCole., Baker and Heath comic books have tripled -quadripled in price and more , whereas those same moderns have fell in price over the same period. so my advice was solid and extremely lucrative , i have received a few pm's over the years from newer members thanking me for the way i posted when i first joined which far outweigh the negative comments i still occasional get from the old guard/establishment
  14. the only combo better than that is popcorn and whisky...
  15. a Bronze age Spidey with someone dressed up as the Mummy ,, i never read this issue.. i stopped collecting when the price went up to 35 cents as i figured the price was getting out of hand @tv horror do you remember who the mystery menace was ??
  16. YEP ! great collectors grade copy in the 5.0 range... would look great in a slab
  17. They did that to me too kav... More than a few joins these boards with the potential to stick around long term, but the old guard/establishment quickly team up and drive them away
  18. in 2019 there were a some threads starting by people claiming they were nearing 12,000 posts and wanted recognition for their achievement !!! and then things got carried away and one member said he was nearing 1,532 posts and was asking what that would get him they were funny threads for awhile !!
