  1. Can you provide a link to the discussion or some names? Does he have before scans of the books? This sorry (at the outset) doesn't sound right...but I could be wrong.
  2. Offering these two books at a reasonable discount to previous asking prices in the thread below: America's Best Comics #4 CGC 8.0 OWW - Highest Graded copy - Asking $1600 (previously offered @ $2200) Going Steady #10 CGC 2.0 OWW - Asking $450 (previously offered @ $750)
  3. Amazing Spider-man #238 CGC 9.8 White pages - there is a crack across the back top of the CGC case - shipping is free Asking $900 SOLD!
  4. Shipping: Certified books, shipping is included FREE within North America, ROW we split it. Raw books, include $10 for shipping within North America. ROW I will split with interested parties. Who wins: Time stamp seals the deal as to who wins regardless of the form of communication (including PM, in the thread, text or phone conversation). A negotiation is not a deal until both sides have agreed on terms. If there is an unconditional posted (or communicated) it will trump all negotiations unless we have already both agreed to terms before the was posted. In that case, the will have been in vain. Except that it will give you street cred and look cool to passers by. No House Of Shame or Probationary members or any others of ill repute. Returns: I am considered a very good grader among my peers ( Here is a link to my kudos thread ) but since even CGC is inconsistent I will not guarantee a CGC grade. I will guarantee to be within one grade increment in either direction - so if I am calling the book a 9.4 it could go 9.2 or 9.6. If it falls outside of those parameters (and it does happen that they go in both directions), I will offer a refund. But I don't expect anyone to complain if I undergraded it. I will accept returns if item is otherwise not as described. Consider all books pressed. Payment: Paypal, bank wire, check or MO.
  5. Gang, I'm actually going to close this thread and move the books elsewhere. I have flexibility on prices so feel free to hit me up if you have any interest. I'm easy to work with.
  6. Conan #1 CGC 9.6 OWW - Barry Smith autograph on 1st page - it's gorgeous. Asking $1350 - sorry for the poor pics. Best I can do at this time.
  7. Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 5.0 OWW - Great looking copy - book is being reholdered. This is a scan of the book in the original holder. Asking $50,000

  9. The main problem with the idea (although it is a good one) is that there are probably more ideas for thread topics than there is room / real estate on the chat forum and I'd worry about too many threads being started initially because the idea was new and it would push individual sellers off the 1st page that are trying to sell their wares. I guess if the idea really takes off we can ask for a topical sales thread sub-forum specifically for those types of threads.
  10. Taking breaks is a good thing. As humans we always need a little time away...from anything we love. Many collectors take breaks (if not most). I stopped collecting for a decade before jumping back in with both feet in the early 2000's..
  11. If you mean they should go proactively and clear up listings that are no longer relevant I don't see that happening considering there are 10,000's of listings on the exchange. But if you notify them of an issue I can't see them not taking care of it in one form or another.
  12. The sender being CGC? Or the submitter? Because CGC doesn't insure packages once they leave their possession. That onus is on you.
  13. Yep. It’s happened to me before. Did you contact Clink for them to resolve the issue? It could be that the book is not available OR that the seller is not getting his notifications. Either way, I'd think Clink would be interested in rectifying the problem so that their exchange gets cleaned up..
  14. Are you sure they were $11 reholders and not resubmissions in the case? In my experience a reholder ALWAYS gets the old serial number unless the graders feel a book needs to be regarded for some reason (damage to the book , etc). Even the oldest label books would retain their serial numbers even though they were in new holders.
  15. If the book is resubmitted and the old certificate is handed in, it's removed from the CGC census / registry but the old scan is still up. Clink will want to clear it up because they won't want old listings up on the site if the book is no longer available.
  16. You can contact CL and have them contact the owner The most plausible scenario is that the book was sold elsewhere and resubmitted and the owner of the CL listing has forgotten that they have the book up for sale on the exchange.
