  1. Have you ever seen an AF15 in 5.0 like that with white pages? AF #15 seems to be a tough book to find with white pages. Might have something to do with the paper roll they used? Hulk #1 on the other hand has a dark cover making it impossible to find in higher grades but the paper quality generally tends to be on the better (or white) side for many copies.
  2. Looks better than the grade. I was going to pull the trigger on that one...just didn't have the cash at the time.
  3. The one on CL is another 6.5. The one Roy's has is a different one. (thumbs u The copy that was on Cominlink last week (and was subsequently taken down) was supposed to be in my hands by now. I posted the book prematurely in the hopes that it would attract a little attention as it traveled towards me but the reason I have not posted a scan yet is because the book did not arrive. The owner and i had worked out a fair trade but unfortunately he has been unresponsive for nearly 5 days now. I am safe on my end as i have not given anything up before receiving the book but it sure is frustrating dealing with wishy washy people.
  4. He had some custody problems with his daughter iirc and I believe he moved as well.
  5. I know you. Arch gets all his info from you. Sal told me so.
  6. Can you please enlighten us as to what value you have brought to the boards?
  7. A little late I know but heck, I don't carry the crepe that you collect.
  8. Here is some info about the Cookeville collection.
  9. The book is from the Cookeville collection (or pedigree depending on who you ask)...no idea of it's significance but i do know that many copies from that collection had that marking. Maybe West can chime in?
  10. Just picked this book up over the weekend. It's the first copy I've ever held.
  11. I've never had luck with light tan to off white books and one that is straight light tan would be a bigger gamble. I'm sure it's a terrific looking book though...
  12. Way too cheap even for a light tan pages. Anybody here was lucky to snatch it? Looks like it was listed for 11 hrs from what i can tell, not 5hrs..i was wrong there..listed DEC 5th 8:45 sold Dec 5th 19:43... Old label, that's a re-sub candidate. There's no way I'd crack out a light tan page book and resub it. It'll probably come back as an 8.5.
  13. I don't see the image yet. I wonder if it's the former 6.5 on ComicLink. It is the same book. I've acquired the book in a trade and am waiting to get it in hand before I post the scan. (thumbs u
  14. RoboJ was switching books as well? How easy is it to do that? I didn't say he was switching them, but I know it has happened in the past.
  15. I've seen fraudulent slabbed books where the book in the well was changed. If the guy is allegedly committing fraud on raw books, why wouldn't he try it on slabbed books?
  16. but there's all those reports of his shenanigans with raw books Yeah, his graded stuff is definitely more interesting. I have seen shenanigans with slabbed books as well. A true fraud artist won't stop at just raw books. Why people buy off the guy at all still amazes me.
  17. Somebody just bought my 4.0 for $1080 on eBay. (thumbs u
  18. I'm shocked that there was no narrative, with a mind-numbingly long market pricing analysis, coupled by personal anecdotes of each copy his owned and sold
  19. You might need more light so the camera can pick up more image? Edit: sorry, saw that Scrooge already pointed that out.
