  1. This is the first copy I've ever owned of this book. Thought i'd post it.
  2. That's quite a problem. However could you overcome such an obstacle? I can't stand all the extra graphics and writing so I keep them turned off, but I guess it forces me to miss the stuff I'd really love to see as well.
  3. Bought some raw books from Royce. They were well graded, well packaged and good communication. Thanks1
  4. They probably read the recent Board postings complaining about the soft grading lately, seriously. I think you know the posts I am refering to as I believe you responded. I cringed when I saw those posts. What were they expecting to accomplish ? The OP got some good grades and complained, ridiculous. My thought's exactly. I don't think that they were loose, I think they were right where they should have been but I guess it does change from time to time.
  5. I believe it came back ow pages. Sub crease books generally will grade as high as 5.0-6.0 range in my experience. I bought it for a decent price but was still surprised at the grade. They seem to have tightened up a little lately, as I was off on most of my estimates, where I usually bat about 60-70%.
  6. I'm a little surprised that the book graded a CGC 4.0. I thought 5.0+ Oh well....
  7. I think Jackpot came out a few weeks later but it is Archie's first cover appearance.
  8. Mikey is one of the good guys. Solid grader, honest collector. Packages well and ships quick. Also likes Rock and Roll and guitars, and somebody like that can't be all that bad.
  9. Looks VERY Severinesque. At least the inks do. I think so too. GCD guesses that's it's either Severin or Kane pencils with Severin inks. It seems pretty likely to me since Severin did the covers on Ringo Kid #12 and 14. And the cowboys with the masks have some Kane-like qualities to them. Maybe Kane did a rough layout and Severin finished it up. Either way, I'd say calling it a John Severin cover is a safe bet. I'd lean towards Severin over Kane...the figures are just not as fluid to me as Kane usually is capable of doing. I'm not familiar with Kane's work on Westerns but it just doesn't strike me as Kane's work...I could be wrong.
  10. Started a Kudos thread for a new board member. Our first transaction (my purchase/trade) on a pretty big book went flawlessly. Thank you! (thumbs u
  11. You sir, are a giant among nerds! (thumbs u Thanks for the hard work!
  12. Now I know you're lying. The Ark was a box. Never seen the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark Or read the bible.
  13. Now I know you're lying. The Ark was a box. Of course it was a box. I put my box in a box to protect it. Like slabs in poly bags. Is the grail inside the box?
  14. 80 to 85k....that there estimate is way off.. Whut in tarnation? Fixed that for you.
  15. Yeah, there is some light creasing through the logo, Aquaman and Wonder Woman that keeps the grade down. Thanks!
  16. I'm thinking somewhere in the 5.5 range. It has really, really nice paper which is a big plus as well. Probably oww.
  17. Picked up my first every copy last weekend.
