  1. it is well within the confines of human nature The boards are a pie slice of human society. You'll get everything in here like you get it out there. Overall, the fact that a lot of us know and deal with each other on a regular basis helps keep things in check. To be fair, people mostly only speak up when there is a problem...so you only see the squeaky wheel. You take the well oiled, quiet wheels for granted even though they are there all the time. mmm...Pie. Squeaky pie.
  2. The problem is that if it becomes too much of a burden for the Mods then they'd probably just do away with it. It's more of a convenience than a necessity for them.

  4. Seriously gang, please don't flood my inbox with PMs. Let's leave it up to the buyer and seller to hash it out. (thumbs u

  7. IBTLAB (hereafter known as in before the lock and ban)
  8. Yes it was As far as your story goes it should have been your book. No question. I'll let you handle it. If there's anything I can do to help feel free to ask.
  9. If it was the old Tec #37 with tape on it that was my old book. I sold that book about 6 months ago.
  10. Only because Roy is addicted to internet porn...but such is life. This is me reading my Playboy.
  11. No worries, Mac. Frankenstein might be coming after you but you'll be fine as long as you're adequately prepared. Just say the word and I'll lend you my bullwhip or slightly used pair of nunchucks. Mike's got the majority of the forums behind him. (thumbs u
  12. I agree. However, as he's proved himself to be a congenital liar, and as I suspect he simply can't see what he's done wrong, I'll put my money on him coming out swinging. Which is always amusing when it involves one of the hard of thinking. You're a poet, you know that?
  13. Ditto here. Tough call but Cap #1 is a really big book IMO.
  14. i'll sum it up real quick: i sold frank an avengers 57 in cgc 8.5 that i had pressed. He had the same book, less than a month later in the sales forum,de-slabbed,with a much cleaner looking back, either dry cleaned or scan tone messed with, listed as a 9.2 "raw" with no mention of it being slabbed,or pressed prior. I almost bought the book, until i realized it was my 8.5 cracked out.I called him out on it,in private, and he made up an excuse that it sold privately an hour before, and it wasn't the same book. I took it public to the forum to see the B.S. going on..frank blew up,threatened people, made up more stories that none of it made sense. The last being he posted the wrong scan, and that he had cracked out my 8.5 and sold it at a con as a 9.0,but used the scan on accident in the listing here, after first saying there was no way it could be the same slabbed book.... Pretty much it. oh yea, lots of swim suit model pictures that people posted also. You forgot to add that he was given a 1 week vacation for offering to beat me up for calling him a . And don't forget guys were talking about their packages, was really a sorid thread for the ages. Vibrators too.
  15. Big 4, you must be kidding. Not so sure what is so important about Robin other than the fact that he rode Batman's coat tails and has downgraded the franchise ever since. Sorry that logic just doesn't fly as you can't ignore the level of disgust associated with the character and side kicks in general these days. You will have to explain why pre-Robin Tec's in the same grade would (for the most part) out price issue #38 (specifically issues #29, #31 and #35 -and why, because of better covers for the most part and NO ROBIN). MMC#9 is a classic cover, about as good as it gets, and it showcases the first time two superhero's duking it out (much more exciting than a "sidekick"). Peter, I think you need therapy for every time the word Robin is mentioned.
  16. You're absolutely right...but I still can't stand Robin, although I definitely understand the appeal to kids. I'd take the MMC #9 in a heartbeat. Goodman's use of the primary colors on Timely covers just makes them so appealing and the story just killer. Action #1/Tec #27 ? I'm torn, because the Tec looks brighter...it'd be a dead tie right now.... I've never read the story to MM#9, could you loan me your copy Roy so that I could read it? Sure, I've got a manilla envelope handy. Mailing address? Seriously, it's been reprinted a few times. Easiest one to get would be the old Marvel square bound reprints....just can't remember the title...
