    Going around 3-4 days without a "scan" has been normal for registered mail in my experience although it usually took me around 10-12 calendar days for my package to be delivered.

    I've shipped around 15 packages valued between $1K and $6K so far this year using USPS registered mail and have had 0 issues.

    I doubt it's even worth $2500 if the best book is a Batman 423 and that's being calculated as nearly 2% of the value of the collection and there are 12,000 total books.

    These and the other past CL results make me wonder why anyone would consign with them. Great for buyers but awful results for the sellers time and time again.

    This is the best advice OP, or any average person, can get. I started listening to the audiobook a few days ago and even though it is all material I already know it's written in a way that's easily digestible and highly informative to anyone just starting out.

    The 9.0 was probably a 30K book at the peak, I think an 8.5 went for around 28K previously

    Question for other sellers about shipping slabs with USPS: at what price level do you switch from just shipping USPS priority with signature to shipping something registered mail? Would it be overkill to ship $1,000 orders with registered mail?

    I'm conflicted - I don't see comic prices going back up until stocks/crypto do and I think we are still pretty far out from recovery in those assets.

    I'm sure commercial rates would be different but it only costs me less than 1% of my collection's value to insure it. The decision to not insure these books is just insane.
