I got these re-holder in 2017 along with Caliber Presents 1,15 The Crow 1-4. No not everything is 9.8, But they are all Signature Series so that makes me happy.  


 

I never really set collecting goals, Maybe I should since it would keep me more focus. I finished my Punisher 1987 run now I just need to upgrade a book here & there.
In 2015 I finished off my Caliber Crow 1-4 run sig series.
Currently working on Green Lantern 76-89 & X-Men 94-143!! 



 

Now that it's in hand...this week's BA addition to the collection. Some dirt but still looks pretty good imo. A clean, press & reslab might be in its future one day.

We are all just curators of our collections then we die.   Not rocket science.  
Flip the books when you can and save the issues that matter the most.
Pre-Unity Valiant and Byrne X-Men mean more to me than AF 15's.  I will sell all my SA keys before I sell my X-men 141, see what I am getting at? 

My LCS doesn’t really do graded books, unless they pick them up in a collection. I wasn’t looking for this book, but when I saw it behind the counter, I thought I should rescue it. It’s likely only making a temporary stop in the collection before it heads to eBay, as it’s a little rough and isn’t a priority book for me. But the price was right.
In other news, I bought some new books for the first time in a year or two. I don’t do new books and I don’t do variants, but I DO collect Aliens, so I had to have these. I ordered two of each cover coming out, and three or four copies of the ones I thought were most interesting. There must be more on the way, but I guess this is what has been released so far. None of these covers really knock me out, so they’ll likely go in the Aliens box and not be looked at again for years. Collecting: it’s dumb!

Hello all! I hope everyone is happy, healthy, and having a great start to the weekend.
Stopped by the LCS to clean out my pull box & admire some of the recent acquisitions...some of which followed me home. 😀
Two copies of Uncanny X-Men 141, ASM 361-363 with a second printing on 361 too, a double signature X-Factor 1 (Bob Layton & Joe Rubinstein), and some CGR 1’s.
I got a call; a friend knows a guy who knows a guy who wants to sell a collection. Naturally, I was intrigued. 🧐 The location was close, books were priced right, and they fit in the back of the truck just fine. So I’m bagging & boarding with a smile as we go though the books.
We moved into the house about six months ago, but work & life have conspired to keep me from setting up the comic room...until now. I want to get more art up on the wall, but my desk is good to go, & my wife made me a very comfy throw blanket in Joker colors! With as crazy as the world has been, it’s nice to take comfort in the little things. 
 
She’s already working on the next blanket for our family room. Stanley/Overlook Hotel color & pattern.

Posted the GSXM1 awhile back but just recently added the XM94 in 7.0 so thought I would take a group pick with my Bronze Age collection ....... one of them needs an upgrade 🤔

Yeah, it’s the MicroChamber paper sticking out. 
 
Normally, I don’t obsess too much over the case having minor scuffs but there’s enough on this one that it does affect the appearance a bit. For example it looks like there’s color loss on the DC logo in the picture but it’s actually a scuff.  So I may get it reholdered. 
 
Kinda tempted to see if I can get those bends on the back pressed out but I don’t think it would result in a grade bump...and considering how CGC’s grading lately even the improvement may result in a grade drop. 
 
So yeah, maybe just a re-holder. 

A nice newsstand centered find , most are Directs from what I can see.
 

Another book for my Byrne collection. Daredevil #138 which is the 1st of a 2 part crossover with Ghost Rider #20. I have wanted one of these for a long time and there are only 8 non pedigree copies in 9.8 on the census and I'm the proud owner of one of them now
