  1. Even though I don't really think it's true, I sure hope they give coupons for renewers. Like you, no plans to renew without the coupons. Mike
  2. What's the difference with a Canadian edition?
  3. I seem to recall someone saying there is a way to block members who have less than a certain number of feedbacks. Can someone tell me how to do that? I recently had a bad experience with a guy with 1 feedback winning an auction & I'd rather not go thru that again. Mike
  4. I'm almost done with Joe Hill's Heart Shaped Box. I'm sure you all know that Hill is Stephen King's son. Next, I have to re-read the first 2 books in Justin Cronin's excellent Passage trilogy before the third book comes out this fall. I hope Amy doesn't die...she reminds me of Blade the Vampire Hunter. Mike
  5. Slow Modern = 2.75 months? It's a shame that 2.75 months is thought of as quick, but it is these days.
  6. That's what he said. I found some old pictures... It cost me a pretty penny. I had to pay to have it shipped back to CGC, & then when they said they would have to regrade it, I paid for that also. Oh well, live & learn. I'm just curious if there's something like putting too much bubble-wrap on or something. Mike
  7. I sold a slab to a guy in California last summer (I'm in MI)...when it arrived, the heat had warped the plastic so bad that it had to be reholdered (on my dime). I used bubble-wrap around the slab & inserted that into a priority box. Anything I could've done different? Come to think of it, CGC called me when they got it & told me it would need to be regraded because the book 'may' have been affected. It did go down to a 6.0 from a 6.5. Mike
  8. Picked these up today...finally! (Coupon) Have to figure out how to get that glare out of the scans.
  9. What's your opinion of 'quick press'? How does one decide if a book needs a press, or if a quick press would do? Mike

  13. I think I have to re-think how I determine the value of the comics that I submit (I think they ask this for insurance reasons?) The amount that I put down is way different from their value when they are sent back to me - 4 months later. Mike
  14. Your message is writing in a manner humorous.
  15. Bought a used HP 8250 off ebay a few months ago...$50. Works perfect. Mike
  16. Hmm...it's just that I could've swore it said "graded' when I woke up Saturday morning, but then later in the day it changed to 'Shipped/Safe'. Oh well, no biggie. Mike
