But has GPA been tracking Newsstand as its own category the entire time? I know for sure that there are some books that I've looked up that have grouped the Newsstand sales and Direct sales together.

I probably should have asked in this thread earlier; I'm trying to complete a Milestone collection (all editions), and since they crossed over with DC for Worlds Collide, that would include the DCU logo variants for Superman: Man of Steel 36 (I have 35), Superboy 6-7, and Steel 6-7. If anyone has any to spare, please let me know.

The numbers we have are mostly speculation, as companies don't release the numbers.

Could be someone gambling that CGC doesn't actually check all of the pages, and they just got a 5-figure book for 4 figures.

Unbelievable. Just got an eBay purchase in the mail. 8 books, no bags or boards, just wrapped in tissue paper and put in a bubble mailer. No cardboard at all.

I think the only issue of Heroes that had been slabbed before my submission was issue 1. My long-term goal is to get the original line in 9.6 or better. I've got a lot of the tough books out of the way already. Just need to go through the rest of my raw collection for candidates on all of the earlier issues. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that Static book is the regular Coipel variant, not the foil, correct?

Another shipment came back today. (My standards for Newsstands are somewhat lower than Directs.):

This one was a submission. Not sure why they didn't acknowledge the Newsstand Edition. They seem to still be hit-or-miss on that.

Yeah, that definitely sounds like a buyer looking to invent non-existent problems to get a discount he shouldn't be getting.

This is a first. I got positive feedback on a sale that the buyer never paid for. Maybe he just missed that he had an unpaid item? I did send an invoice after a few days of non-payment, so the buyer would have been notified multiple times.

This is feedback he's left for other purchases? Not your sale to him?

I imagine that the real spec value will be in any upcoming issues that introduce new characters.

I'm going to guess there is some sort of shaken comic syndrome going on here. Perhaps the book got wedged in the corner (I had this happen to a book I sold and shipped), and then something jostled it free but the corner was stuck, so the whole piece ripped away. It being stuck would explain the damage we see to the back edge in the original post.

Since we're in the Bronze forum, I agree that that will be the case for books of that era, but I wouldn't be surprised if the MCU finds something interesting to do with a more obscure character (there are a ton to pick from in the Modern age) that causes a surprising spike.

Someone is going to be disappointed here.
