    Nice!

Are you sure the "Murder at Belle Camille" is by Cole? I've wrestled if it is or isn't.hm

I'm also curious if the other issues of Wit and Wisdom are by Cole. Well...presumably there are other issues as that is #4.

Has anyone seen issues 1-3. Is there a 5+? :wishluck:

The Suspense Comics covers are tough.  #4 is one of the most rare books and #8 is super popular.  Terrific #3 a gerber 8.

At one time a boardie did an analysis of what are the toughest LB Cole covers to get and I think Suspense 4 was the winner.  Also, good luck with a 4 Favorites #13.  If you comb through this thread you may find that list.  Good luck!

I'm good on the Suspense #4 (i've personally seen more of those than the #3 for some reason). Suspense Comics was one of the first GA runs I finished years ago (my #3 is a rag though)

I picked up the Four Favorites #13 from Terry's Comics a few years ago (Cole's first comic cover, yes?)

Thanks for the tip on Terrific #3 - I think I missed that as an L.B. Cole cover.

I'll have to hunt for the list on the toughest books you mentioned.

    Cheers

I have a few extra sets of Photo-Journals - All NEW, Unread and still in original Shrink Wrap!

Very nice...of all the Bob Lubbers recreations they've had up on HA recently that was by FAR the best one, and the only I even thought about going after.  You got a great deal on it!

Well.... I'm not sure it was a great deal as it's only 8.5" x 11" and not like this that's 16" x 22" (which I won in the Berk auction):

Does anyone really use plastic bags anymore?  All my books are in Mylites.  I'll never use anything else.  :sumo:

    I do!

Actually here's how I bag and board my comics:

I put the comic in a Mylite and tape it closed, then use two boards, and put all that in a polypropylene bag or, for my more expensive books, a Mylar sleeve.

BTW, those old Abar bags I've been using don't seem to yellow or turn green and they also don't stick to each other like some other bags do.

This is why I'm keen on finding a replacement.

  7. Hi All,

I hope this is the right place for this:

I've finally run out of Golden Age bags and need to buy some more in quantity (10k+).

I used to buy my bags from American Plas-Tech Distribution out of Concord CA. Near as I can tell, they're not around anymore.

The bags I REALLY like are called "Abar" bags:

    Golden Age comic Size 7 5/8" x 10 1/4" plus 2" flap

    Polypropylene 60 microns thick

Are these still being made? If so, where can I buy them in bulk at wholesale?

If not, what are people using instead?

    Thanks!!
