  1. In the pre-code era they had over a dozen horror titles alone. Here's a few;
  2. A few recent scores. Now don't go calling me a "Space Case", LOL!
  3. Had to go to the third page to find this thread. I'm not really a fan of superhero's, but will splurge on their books if they have horror stories.
  4. I accidentally bought a second copy of this book. Message me if interested; cheap reading.
  5. I've got several PCH and crime books up on eBay; https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fss=1&_saslop=1&_sasl=fifties&LH_SpecificSeller=1
  6. Or strangled, axed, beheaded. Gotta keep 'em in line somehow.
  7. RULES; NO LIST PPL, PAYMENT BY PAYPAL, MAILED MONEY ORDER OR CASHIERS CHECK, RETURN FOR ANY REASON WITHIN 7 DAYS OF RECEIPT, DOMESTIC SHIPPING $6, CANADA $11, FOR ANY OR ALL. RACKET SQUAD #12, WITH DITKO COVER ART. ABOUT G+ WITH WEAR FOR THE GRADE. NOTHING MISSING AND NO GLUE OR TAPE REPAIR. $75.00. SUSPENSE 22 (THE BLOOD BROTHERS), MYSTIC 11 (DEATH AND TOMMY NORTON), MYSTIC 12 (THE HOODED HORROR), $19 EACH OR ALL THREE FOR $50.00.
  8. Why not break down and get a new printer to scan with? They're dirt cheap.
  9. The good Dr. Wertham captioned this panel, "A girl raped and murdered" in his S.O.T.I. slander, even though this was her first appearance in the book, which I know because I happen to have it.
  10. Adventures Into Terror #43 (actually #1) continued the numbering from Joker Comics.
  11. That's what occurred to many crime titles around 1950, and '51, since horror was the new up and coming genre. EC changed both War Against Crime and Crime Patrol into The Vault of Horror and Tales From The Crypt in '50. Atlas eventually had somewhere around 13 horror titles, with many morphed from crime and humor books.
  12. I would suggest that it's value as compared to other issues of the title is simply that there have always been more of them available, as a result of that warehouse find.
  13. Cross posting from the recent pre code purchases thread. In today and de-slabbed, Ditko cover art, looks almost 3D.
  14. Just in and de-slabbed. Steve Ditko cover art.
  15. I'm afraid you're mistaken about tape not garnering a PLOD. I have this book listed in the Market Forum, with the Purple Label stating; "tear seals to cover." They are not visible.
  16. Funny how posts on message boards can trigger old memories. Back in the '50's my folks would get the Sunday Times newspaper, and sometimes go to my grandparents house that day. They subscribed to the Herald Examiner, which had a different funny page offering. In that section were Mutt and Jeff, The Little King, Henry, and I can't remember what else, but I sure liked reading them.
  17. Another arrival, filling in my Crime Mysteries run.
  18. Neither, he'll do away with them by other means.
  19. Just in. Been after this issue for over 20 years.
