  1. An upgrade! Plus it has a story from the TFTC show on HBO, which stood out that I remember.
  2. Well I went with the MAD 5 here it is! Its beat up bad (its maybe a 8.5 VF (VF Very F'ed ) but you guys were right its hard to find and I had a little extra so I knocked it off the list! Plus I got the Tales of the Incredible book...It has the stories with art and the book has to be read sideways.
  3. Their descriptions are pretty spot on with good detail but yes the grades were off. They claim to have 100 years experience in grading but it doesn't show. I knew what I was getting into and bid accordingly, plus I had a little extra to spend and those were cool. If I buy from them again I would subtract one point off their grade.
  4. I was excited that I won these on ebay last week and didn't think Id have a chance. I didn't have very many of the early crime books but I doubled it last week! I know what you're asking "but are they low grade?"....Of course theyre low grade! The seller was pretty awesome in the fact that I paid for $0 shipping and it was shipped securely and priority with sig confirmation. They Claim to have 100+ years of grading experience, but I didn't agree with the assigned grades (but bid what I thought was fair) or on some of their other listings. One book they graded at a GD+ but the book had a sizeable chunk out of the front cover and another book (a Moon Girl 5 ) is graded at a GD- but the book is incomplete missing a wrap that affects story. In the description of the books I bid on they were very detailed, that Ill give them. I would recommend buying from the seller but be aware of the grading.
  5. Also wanted to share these. I know they’re not EC but Jack Davis is close enough! So this is what I have found out. There are five volumes. There is the joke book. And there are three books written by Vincent Courtney. The books written by Vincent Courtney are original stories, I am only missing three more to have all of these books.
  6. Nice book! Ive always wanted one but missed a few copies via auction or expensive at a con.
  7. Just read TFT 28 it was good. I liked the Saipan story the most. Also got this today...MAD 18 and its beat! I still dont know why I keep buying them since I have said in the past that the humor is lost one me, but its an EC!
  8. Two -fisted Tales 28 is new (I like this cover, the bodies flying is pretty brutal) and TFT 41 is an upgrade. Frontline Combat 13 Completes my run group shot later!
  9. I bought the MAD 5. Ill post when I get it. I also have a 2 new EC books that I need to post and 1 of them completes a run!
  10. So Im considering 2 MAD issues (Im not a MAD fan but they seem cheap) they are 2 and 5. If you had to pick one or the other, which one should I get? Issue 2 is in better condition but I leaning towards issue 5 but its pretty bad. Any input?
  11. I recommended it after I read it!!! It follows Tonys Sister. There is no Rob Guillory on art but Dan Boultwood does a great job in Robs style! Ive never met John Layman at a con and I hope the meet him, Ive met Rob Guillory and he was awesome!
  12. Chew! Then Invincible! Fables is probably in 3-4 spot.
  13. 115-124 Batman Deathblow After the Fire 1-3 I like Azzarello and Bermejo as a team and this was their first teamup. Overall I enjoyed the book, my only complaint was when they did the past events there wasnt much of a difference between past and present. Batman White Knight presents Harley Quinn 1-6 If you are not reading the Murphyverse Batman you should be. I like how he is re-writing the characters in the entire mythology of Batman. Harley Quinn is written by his wife Katana Collins which I thought did a good job. Harley Quinn kind of acts as a detective and replaces batman in the story because spoiler alert Batman is in jail. This was a good series as well thats adds to that universe.
  14. Read all 25 tpb of invincible! You will blow right through them! Its my 2nd Favorite series and its awesome!!!
  15. I love Scott Snyder! So lets get that out of the way. Charles Soule is a good writer as well. As to the "forced" team, I can see where you're coming from but in the "letters" pages they do mention that a lot of this story seems close to home with how they are writing it (Sky is a death sentence disease (Covid), boarders (they lock out/in whoever is there/not there when the USA closes its boarders in the book), government (a little is mentioned in this second arc 7-12), crazy president (Trump/Biden in my opinion) and how the USA is "divided" (which its clear that the USA is currently). Im not a fan of politics in my media being pushed from 1 side or the other, but I dont feel like that in this book. The intrigue, for me is why the USA closed its boarders (again close to home with the current situation at our boarder now) its still not clear. I think that the 13 different areas of the USA ( the first 13 colonies) was interesting as well. If you read the first 6 they talk about how time moves differently in the USA which they confirm in issue 8/9 which I think adds a little more to the story. When you first read the book (1-6) and see the first area of the USA with its crazy creature mutations, desolate wasteland, the team dynamics and general "intrigue" it pulled me in. I wanted to know more about this world and about the main bad guy Mr Destiny. Contrast that with issues 7-12 (second arc) you get a completely different area of the USA (located in the pacific northwest) where its all "unity". The landscape is clean and beautiful and full of technology. How did they come about this technology, what if any was their sacrifice (this part hits home a few areas in our world today)? The art is great as well and the story pacing is good. Id like to hear your thoughts on the second arc if you have them considering your "curse you pre-ordering". It definitely moves the story forward.
  16. @OtherEric is this really the first EC Educational Comics? So is Saddle Justice 3 the first EC Entertaining Comics?
